The Decision Part 2
Part 1 here
Liam sat on the edge of the empty soccer field, the sun dipping low in the sky, casting long shadows over the grass. The events of the day played over and over in his mind—the confrontation with Kareem, the cold dismissal, the shunning from the Vanguard. He had given everything to that team, and in a moment, it was all gone.
He thought about the white and green jersey he had worn only yesterday. It no longer represented pride or honor. Now, it was just a painful reminder of what he had lost. With a heavy sigh, Liam put his shoulders on his knees, thinking about the team that had abandoned him.
The sound of footsteps behind him broke through his thoughts. Liam turned to see a familiar face—Brody, the rising star of the Golden Army, walking toward him with a calm, steady stride.
“Liam,” Brody called out, his voice warm, carrying none of the judgment or pity Liam had expected. “Mind if I join you?”
Liam shrugged, too tired to put up a front. “Sure. Not like I’ve got anywhere else to be.”
Brody stopped beside him, looking out over the field. For a moment, neither of them spoke, just standing in silence, watching the last rays of sunlight fade.
“I heard what happened,” Brody said finally. “It’s rough, man. Really rough. But I wanted to tell you that you don’t have to be alone.”
Liam scoffed softly, not turning to meet Brody’s gaze. “Don’t have much of a choice, do I? The Vanguard made sure of that.”
Brody shook his head. “That’s not true. You’ve still got options. We’ve been talking, and the Golden Army—we want you to join us.”
Liam blinked, finally turning to look at Brody, surprise evident in his eyes. “What? Why would you want me? I just got kicked out of the Vanguard like yesterday’s trash.”
Brody smiled slightly. “Everyone makes mistakes, Liam. What matters is how you move forward. You’re a good player—one of the best. And more than that, you deserve a team that has your back, not just when you’re winning, but when things get tough too.”
Liam hesitated, the offer both tempting and terrifying. “You really think I’d fit in with the Golden Army? After everything?”
“Absolutely,” Brody said, without missing a beat. “We’re about more than just rules and discipline. We’re about supporting each other, growing together. And yeah, we push each other to be better, but we don’t abandon our own.”
Liam felt something stir inside him, a flicker of hope he hadn’t felt since he was cast out of the Vanguard. But with it came a fear of the unknown. He had spent so long adhering to the Vanguard’s rigid structure—could he really start over with a new team?
Brody seemed to sense his hesitation. “Look, I know it’s a big change. But I think it’s exactly what you need right now. A fresh start, a new beginning with people who won’t judge you for one mistake. Give it a chance. If you don’t feel like it’s right for you, no hard feelings. But at least try.”
Liam looked back at the field, the place where he had once felt at home, now a source of pain. Slowly, he nodded. “Okay. I’ll give it a shot.”
Brody’s smile widened, and he reached out, placing a hand on Liam’s shoulder. “Welcome to the Golden Army, then.”
Liam couldn’t help but smile back, a small, tentative smile, but genuine. “Thanks. I appreciate it.”
“There’s one more thing,” Brody added, reaching into his bag and pulling out a golden jersey. He handed it to Liam, who took it with a sense of reverence. “When you join the Golden Army, you get a new name. A fresh start, like I said.”
Liam looked at the jersey, then back at Brody. “What’s the name?”
Brody’s eyes held a spark of excitement as he answered, “Griffin. It’s a symbol of strength, courage, and loyalty. Qualities we see in you, Liam. From now on, when you’re with us, you’ll be Griffin.”
Griffin. The name resonated with him, filling the empty space that had been growing inside since his departure from the Vanguard. It was more than just a new name; it was a promise of a new beginning, a chance to be part of something greater than himself.
Griffin felt a weight lift from his shoulders as he pulled on the golden jersey. It fit perfectly, like it was meant for him. The uniform changed him slightly too. His hair lightened to a light brown. His pecs grew out slightly with more muscle and his facial hair fell away, revealing a clean shaven face.
He also started looking at Brody in a new light. Before, he was into women, but looking at Brody's plush lips sure made him want to try guys for the first time. Griffin found he didn't mind the feeling at all either.
As they walked off the field together, Brody and Griffin talked about the upcoming season, strategies, the team’s dynamic, and their own dynamic now too. The more they talked, the more Griffin realized that he was no longer just a player who had lost his way. He was now part of something bigger, something that valued him not just for his skills on the field, but for who he was off it. And he had a new boyfriend to thank for everything.
The Vanguard had been his past, but the Golden Army was his future. And with his new name, Griffin knew that the future was bright.

non-idol! seungmin x reader (ft. felix and jeongin)
in which seungmin is confused on why your acting strange to him
contains: f2l, fluff, miscommunication, angst, lots and lots of dialogue, yn’s a bit blind
word count: 1.8k
Tumblr media
seungmin entered the dorm while greeting his friends, though something was wrong tonight and everyone in the room noticed it. “where’s yn?” jeongin asked. “i don’t know, she was acting really weird. she just sent me a ‘i’m busy’ text and then didn’t answer any of my other questions” seungmin said recalling the events that had happened. he was so confused about your behavior, you never would miss a saturday hangout with the boys and him. it had been an ongoing tradition for almost a year not, and for you to just not come without a valid reason made seungmin worry.
now from your perspective it wasn’t your fault you were so vague to seungmin, for you had discovered the second more horrifying thing in your existence (the first being seungmin and felix’s cooking), you had a crush on your best friend seungmin. maybe missing your weekly hangout with the boys wasn’t the smartest thing to do, but you didn’t know how you could ever face seungmin without your face turning into a tomato. of course you felt bad because you missed out on seeing all your friends (and minho was cooking, who would want to miss on that) but with your confusing feelings you didn’t know what to do. you couldn’t lose seungmin as your friend, he has been with you for years, and the chances of him liking you back were slim. a small ding coming from your phone snapped your out of your thoughts
lixie 🫢
yn is there something your not telling me 🤨
cause there is no way you didn’t show up because you were “busy”
you weren’t surprised felix had caught on, he was your second closest friend and had always been by your side when you needed it. you didn’t want him worrying about you, but also didn’t want to say too much in case one of the other boys, or even worse seungmin, saw it.
sorry lix :(( got busy with some work for one of my classes, you know how my professor can be 😭
you closed your phone and set it down on your night stand, you needed something to distract yourself, if you thought about seungmin for even a second longer your brain would explode. you walked over to your living room, grabbing some snacks in the process, and put on a show praying that thoughts of seungmin would disappear. it didn’t work.
you shuffled around on the couch before finally opening your eyes, the bright light of the sun making you immediately shut them again. it was only when you heard a knock at your door that you had finally gotten up. you opened the door and almost stumbled back for a second
“seungmin? what are you doing here so early?” you questioned “what are you talking about? it’s 12, did you just wake up?” “yeah” “i guess your professor really did give you a lot of work” he chuckled letting himself in. “so...why'd you come over?" you said, your voice sounding uneasy "you make it sound like you don't wanna see me” he said playfully “i thought we could hang out together since we didn’t yesterday!” the bright smile on his face made you feel horrible about the words that stumbled out of your mouth. “i have plans” you blurted, you couldn’t even think of what these so called plans would be, but until you sorted out your feelings you didn’t trust around seungmin, especially when the two of you were alone. “you’re busy…again?” “yeah i’m sorry min, but we can hang out together another time” you said plastering a smile on your face, but seungmin could tell it was forced, “so what are these plans you have today?” he asked, eyes locked on yours. he was hurt, and rightfully so, his best friend was being weird with him for no apparent reason, clearly lying straight to his face. “i have plans…with felix! yeah with him..” “…oh”
seungmin couldn’t wrap his mind around it, you were completely normal with him a couple days ago and now you were ditching him for felix?! seungmin had already been questioning it because of the fact that you had texted felix yesterday, but didn’t text him back. “well I guess I’ll leave you to it…” he mumbled, not even trying to hide his disappointment. you immediately picked up on it and grabbed his wrist, “hey we’ll hang out soon alright? I just needed to do something with lix today, but after that i’m all yours!” seungmin liked the sound of that ‘all his’ he smiled and gained back his composure. “okay then! you better treat me tomorrow” “yeah yeah, i will” you closed the door after he exited and sighed, what were you going to do with yourself! you felt the heat on your cheeks and the racing of your heart. you needed to figure out what to do with these stupid feelings, you needed and third person perspective on it. and that’s what led you to go to felix’s apartment.
“yn! you seemed bothered when you texted me, what’s up?” felix asked “how did you know i was bothered from a ‘can i come over text’?” you laughed “the way you wrote it was just…off” “whatever you say lixie” you said walking into the cozy living room. felix’s apartment was one of the places the brought you the most comfort, you had spent countless hours there just chatting away with felix, he was always by your side when you needed it most.
“i feel like you need a brownie to cheer you up” felix hummed “i think your secretly a mind reader” “oh no my covers been blown” he gasped. after grabbing the brownies for the two of you, he joined you on the couch and handed you the brownie. “so what’s up?” “so you know how i didn’t come to the hangout yesterday? well yeah of course you do… anyway i didn’t come because i realized something recently. i like seungmin…” you looked up at felix, and saw him laughing? “felix this is serious why are you laughing your ass off?!” “it’s just that it took you absolutely forever to realize your feelings! also i’m pretty sure all the boys caught on about this before you. your eyes literally turn into hearts when you see him-“ “okay okay i get it!” “so what’s the issue with you liking seungmin?” “what do you mean what’s the issue? we are best friends felix! it’s gonna be so awkward, i can barely hold a conversation without my heart beating like crazy” felix looked at you dead in the eyes “how are you so blind?! i didn’t wanna say it to you straight to your face, but since you are this oblivious i think i’m doing to have to, seungmin like you too idiot” “you’re not serious are you? no way he is..” “have you seen the way he looks at you?” “felix you don’t have to just say these things to make me feel better” “i mean it yn, he definitely likes you the same way you do.” “okay then, i’ll believe you…now let’s play some mario cart, i can’t come here without beating you at least once” “you wish!” felix laughed
while you were with felix, seungmin has gone back home and was now practically interrogating jeongin. “why would she go to felix’s house?” “why would i know!? can i just eat in peace?” ignoring the boys pleads he continued “you think it’s because she likes him? or worse…they’re already dating!” “seungmin your getting ahead of yourself, felix and yn are definitely just friends.” “how do you know? they could be anything…” “i wouldn’t be feeding you lies for no reason, plus i’ve heard from some top secret sources that she likes you back” seungmin’s head whipped up “you better not be joking jeongin or i’ll-“ “chill out!” the younger boy laughed “you better buy me some good dinner tonight to make up for this stupidity of yours” “ugh fine whatever” seungmin groaned while heading back up to his room. his thoughts were messy and his heart was racing, was it true did you really like him? it was as if you read his brain, a short message reading ‘are you free tmrw?’ he immediately typed back a response, not caring if he seemed too desperate. now all that he could think of is the ways he could confess.
when seungmin woke up the next day, he immediately got to work with his confession, going out and buying you flowers, getting you your favorite breakfast, he wanted it to be perfect. now he just had to pray that what jeongin told him was true.
minnie!😈
i’m gonna be over in 30
just a heads up
those were the messages that showed up on your screen as you were laying in bed. your eyes practically fall out of your head, what was going on? you had planned to talk to seungmin today after felix’s pep talk, but thought you would have a little bit of time today to think about it.
you quickly washed up and right after heard the sounds of rapid knocked on your door. “yn my hands hurt! let me in” “coming!” you walked over to the door and were surprised to see a bouquet of flowers as well as a take out box, you glanced at seungmin and saw a small smile on his face. “what’s all this for?” “ahh yn your so impatient, at least let me in first” yu excused yourself from the door and let the boy in. after he has put everything away properly and taken the food out you both sat at the table together.
“so you gonna explain what this is about yet or am i gonna have to wait until I’m done eating?” “well if it’s not obvious enough my the flowers and the fact i got your favorite breakfast, i like you” it took you a second to fully process his words, but when you did you immediately regretted the fact that you had just taken a bite of food. “woah there you okay?” seungmin said walking over to pat your back, “i’m not trying to kill my future girlfriend before we are offical” you sipped your water trying to prevent yourself from chocking any further, “are you trying to kill me?! gah how did i end up falling for you…” you mumbled “i’ll take that as you like me back” he said smiling. “congrats you got me buddy” you said sarcastically “that’s not something you say to your boyfriend” seungmin said frowning “come closer and i’ll make it up to you” he moved his body closer to your and you took the chance to place a small peck on his lips, “better now?” “hmm i’m not sure, i think you still owe me a date for all our missed time” “alright then minnie” you laughed

part 2 for the golden globes ?
golden globes pt 2- austin butler
Tumblr media
summary: austin comes over for lunch the day after the golden globes so you can celebrate your wins. word count: 1.8k warnings: none a/n: this can be read alone but it's meant to be a pt 2 to my golden globes imagine
pt. 1
the next morning you awoke to the buzzing of your phone on your bedside table. you squinted as you looked at the bright screen, an unknown number popping up.
???
hi, its austin
a small smile tugged at your lips as memories flooded your head from the previous evening. you remembered the moment you’d gotten his number and how you’d spent the entire night talking between breaks, how you’d gotten to congratulate him for his win, and him you, and then how at the after party, your eyes would always meet from across the room, yet you never uttered one word to each other.
you:
hey, good morning
congrats again!
austin:
thank you
you too
you gnawed at your lip as you thought of what you could say to keep the conversation going, but soon saw the three dots pop up again.
austin:
did you enjoy your night?
you:
yeah, maybe a bit too much
really feeling the hangover now
what you said was true, your stomach felt empty and you were slightly nauseous. you’d drank a lot of water when you’d arrived, yet you had a faint headache.
austin:
hahaha, i feel the same way
you:
so you got a chance to celebrate your win?
austin:
in a way, i guess. i feel like it was more of a collective celebration of everything and everyone, you know?
you:
i get that
austin:
i would celebrate today but i’m pretty tired from yesterday.
don’t think i could handle a loud place and more alcohol right now.
you:
well…
austin:
well?
you:
why don’t you pull your shitty hall and oates out and i’ll pull mine out and we can celebrate together at my place
your hands were trembling lightly. your finger lingered over the send button for a minute before you pressed it, the noise notifying it had been delivered only adding to your nerves.
you:
i’ll cook
the three dots popped up, disappeared, and then popped up again.
austin:
i like the sound of that🙃
you:
great!! any suggestions?
austin:
no, whatever you want is fine. i’m not picky.
you:
okk
austin:
just tell me when and where and i’ll be there
you:
oh right
how does three hours sound?
austin:
sounds perfect
you:
okay then, see you in three hours :))
austin:
see you ;)
with that, you set your phone down. you walked into your kitchen and ventured around, picking up an advil while you were at it. you figured you should decide on a meal before anything. you also decided you’d make a cake.
within twenty minutes the chocolate cake was in the oven. you quickly washed the dishes before going back to your room. you picked an outfit, showered, and did your makeup. you were grateful that you didn’t have to do your hair as the styling from last night was still there. once all that was done, you popped on one of your records, the music flowing from the living room into the open kitchen. you hummed as you prepared the food.
soon, there were ten minutes till the three hour mark. you had miraculously managed to finish cooking and cleaning the dishes. you had just finished icing your cake when the security called, asking for your permission to let austin in. you approved and quickly ran to a mirror to make sure you still looked presentable as he parked in your driveway. a knock on the door announced his arrival and as you reached the door, you had to push your cat away.
you opened the door and there was austin, looking gorgeous as ever. a smile adorned his face as he held up a bottle of champagne in one hand and two hall and oates vinyls in the other.
“hi,” you smiled shyly.
“hi,” he said back, smirking slightly.
“you’re early,” you said, gesturing for him to come in.
“i know. i’m sorry, i was eager to see you again. you look really nice,” he flirted.
“you’re making me blush,” you mumbled as your cheeks heated up.
he laughed a little and he followed you as you walked to the kitchen. you grabbed a champagne bucket and filled it with ice and austin put it in there.
“do you need any help?” austin asked as you plated the food.
“no, i’m alright. if you wanna put some music on my record player’s right there,” you said as you pointed at your favourite part of the house.
“you know, i’m kind of surprised you came,” you said as austin walked towards your vinyls.
“why is that?” he asked as he kneeled down to browse your collection.
“well i figured you’d be celebrating with your sister,” you said.
“she decided to go to the mall before the weekend comes and it gets too busy. we’re celebrating tomorrow,” he explained, to which you hummed in understanding.
“you weren’t lying about your collection. it’s amazing,” he said.
“thank you. i think i have arguably the best record store in the world to thank for that,” you said.
“oh really?” he said as he put on his one of vinyls.
“mhm, it’s in a really quiet part of the city. usually it’s pretty empty and most of their customers are old people who probably won’t recognize a modern day celebrity. i’ll take you one day,” you said, heart pounding in your chest.
“i’ll hold you to that,” he said.
“daryll hall & john oates?” you asked, referring to the album he’d picked.
“that was quick,” he said as camellia rang through the speakers.
“i love this album, just never found it,” you said.
he hummed, but it was quickly cut off by his laughter.
“who’s this?” he asked.
you leaned over the counter to see him crouched down as your cat rubbed herself against his leg.
“that’s beans,” you smiled, “is she bothering you?”
“no no, quite the opposite. she’s adorable,” he said as he pet her head, his southern twang from elvis still present in his voice.
as he continued to play with her, you began placing food on the table. when he noticed, he got up and washed his hands, helping you set everything up before you both sat down to eat. you both dug in and conversation flowed easily between the two of you. you spoke about your families, fame, hollywood life, the people you knew in common and more. before you knew it, he was helping you wash dishes while you cleared the table. he’d insisted on doing them despite you telling him it wasn’t necessary at all. by the time you were grabbing dessert from the fridge, you’d already been through three albums. as he put on a fourth, you put your cake on the table.
“oh my god,” he said as he saw it, laughing a bit, “how did you do all this in three hours?”
“i was motivated by my need to impress everyone who steps into my house,” you said honestly, causing him to laugh.
“well, consider me impressed, but i would’ve been fine with ordering takeout and calling it a day. i didn’t want to cause you this much trouble,” he said.
“it was no trouble at all, really. i enjoy cooking,” you said as you remembered the champagne in the kitchen.
“here, open this,” you said as you handed him the bottle and placed two glasses on the table. you began to slice the cake, cutting one for yourself and one for him.
he poured the champagne and handed you a glass as you handed him cake. you sat down before he raised his glass.
“to you, because we wouldn’t be here if you hadn’t crashed straight into me last night,” he joked, causing your cheeks to heat up as you laughed.
“and to our golden globes,” you added.
“and to our golden globes,” he repeated as you clinked glasses.
you both enjoyed the cake, which he thoroughly complimented, calling it ‘the best cake i’ve ever had in my life.’ once you were done and all the dishes were put away, he looked at his watch.
“i should probably get going. my sister wanted to order dinner,” he said sympathetically. you looked at your phone and saw that it was already 7 pm.
“god, i didn’t realize it was so late,” you said, “i’ll walk you out.”
you walked right next to austin, your arms just barely brushing against each other, but just as you were about to step out of the kitchen, you stopped in your tracks. austin stopped as well, looking at you with his brows furrowed.
“take some cake!” you said as you ran back to the fridge.
“no, that’s okay. it’s your cake,” he said.
“austin, what am i gonna do with 3/4 of a cake all to myself? take some for yourself, and your sister. i insist,” you said as you cut a large piece consisting of about four slices.
you handed it to him and he thanked you before you were walking to the door again. you opened it and you both stood in the doorway looking at each other.
“thank you for everything, i had a really great time,” he said, eye contact not breaking.
“thank you for coming,” you said softly.
the doorway was small, your chests were almost pressed against each other as he looked down at you. his unfaltering gaze made you blush and you had to look away for a minute. he smirked slightly and when you looked back up, he tilted his head towards you.
“can i kiss you?” he asked, a twinge of nervousness in his voice though he was still smirking.
you nodded in response and he leaned forward, closing the gap. the kiss was gentle and short but it left you with butterflies in your stomach. when he pulled away, you were both trying to bite back smiles.
“i should, uh, probably go home now,” he laughed.
“yeah,” you said, biting your lip as you pulled out your phone to see that it was 7:13 pm.
“alright then,” he said.
“bye, austin,” you said as he began to walk to his car.
“bye, y/n,” he responded.
you waited until he got to his car and just as he was about to get in, he stopped.
“oh, y/n, i’m holding you to the record shopping,” he smiled.
“how about next monday?” you asked.
“next monday is perfect,” he responded, getting in his car.
“next monday it is,” you mumbled, biting your lip as you watched him drive off.
you walked into your house with a smile that seemed like it would be permanently etched onto your face. your attention was brought to you record player when the vinyl ended and you noticed that austin had left both of his at your house. you shot him a quick text.
you:
you left your records at my house
austin:
guess i’ll just have to come over after record shopping then ;)
son of a bitch.

☁️future with you-cho sang-gu☁️
Masterlist
cho sang-gu x reader
-2nd person p.o.v-
“surely this isn’t the right address..” you whispered to yourself as you looked at the house in front of you.
it was the house of trauma cleaners.
“su-jin are you sure this is the right house?” you spoke into your phone and she confirmed it.
with a light groan you approached the front door and rung the door bell.
you were then greeted by a girl.
“we aren’t interested in your company or it’s products” she quickly said before trying to slam the door shut but, you quickly used your hand to stop the door from closing.
“is sang-gu in by any chance?” you asked with a small smile and the girl opened the door with wide eyes.
“why? do you know where he’s gone?” she asked but you shook your head.
“sorry, i was told he’d be here” you apologised “by any chance do you know when he’ll be back?”
“no, he’s left and he’s not coming back. by the way who are you? you can’t just show up to a strangers house like this!”
“my name is y/n, i’m a friend of- i mean was a friend of sang-gu. i have some stuff i need to talk to him about which is why im looking for him now”
“good luck with that, the idiot hasn’t shown up for 2 days. seriously he’s supposed to be a guardian but he runs away from home” the girl annoyingly huffed “if you see him, tell him that his nephew geu-ru is worried”
“i see, sorry for disturbing” you then apologised and walked away from the house.
finding sang-gu was going to be harder than expected.
the next morning you got up bright and early to return back to the house you went to yesterday. you wanted to check if maybe there was a slight chance he turned up but, when you saw a young man putting up posters to ask if anyone has seen sang-gu you knew he hadn’t returned.
“excuse me. are you geu-ru?” you asked politely and he turned around and bowed before nodding.
“yes, have you seen my uncle? he’s filthy, loud but a good fighter” geu-ru responded loudly looking at the floor.
“no..but, i’m looking for him too. my name is y/n, do you want a hand putting up the posters?” you sent him a smile and he handed you a couple of them.
“make sure you stick them properly so that they don’t fly away in the wind. like this” geu-ru began to show you and you couldn’t help but smile as he explained how to precisely stick it.
however, it was soon ended short after you felt a hand over your mouth. you were then being dragged into the back on a 8 seater van, they did the same to geu-ru and even though you tried to fight. the men were too strong for you. they were taking you somewhere.
when you arrived to where the men were taking you and geu-ru, it all made sense. it was the people sang-gu used to do fights for.
they locked both you and geu-ru in the fighters ring. a beautiful lady wearing a dress entered and took geu-ru to the side. she took a selfie with him and then the men put geu-ru back in the fighters ring.
“hey! you won’t get away with this!” you yelled at the lady and the men in the room. they all ignored you.
“sang-gu, your uncle will be here” she held the missing sign up to geu-ru.
you sighed, there was no point in you trying to scold the assholes who had kidnapped you. you watched as geu-ru and the lady both chatted to each other. however, their conversation was cut short once a commotion could be heard in the distance.
sang-gu then burst through the door and geu-ru called out to him. the men tried to use force to stop sang-gu him but he fought them with ease. as usual.
“leave him alone” the lady announced and her men stopped trying to fight.
sang-gu ran straight to let geu-ru out.
“geu-ru. are you okay?” he looked over his nephew making sure he wasn’t hurt and then he saw you from the corner of his eye.
he couldn’t believe that you were there in front of him too.
“y/n..” he muttered under his breath slightly stunned before turning to the lady “what the heck is this?”
“uncle don’t be mad, your lady friend isn’t a bad person” geu-ru stopped sang-gu.
that’s when sang-gu decided to sit down and have a conversation with the lady. you stayed with geu-ru and the men as they played cards but, from the corner of your eye you were watching sang-gu. trying your best to keep an eye on him but, your view wasn’t great.
from what you could see it looked like a tense discussion and after 10 minutes sang-gu walked over to the table.
“what are you doing? let’s go home!” he called out to geu-ru before briefly looking at you. you were definitely going to follow them home because you still needed to talk with sang-gu.
the walk home was silent. sang-gu didn’t acknowledge your presence once and you didn’t even know how to start up a conversation with him. when you all arrived back at the original house, the same girl who answered the door in the morning was waiting for both gue-ru and sang-gu.
she snapped and had a go at sang-gu for not being responsible and running away from geu-ru. you couldn’t help but smile at the scene, she really cared about her friend. it was nice. once she had left, sang-gu was about to walk back inside. he was just going to ignore you. however, you knew you needed to talk with him so you stopped him.
“sang-gu!” you said loudly and he paused in his tracks.
he didn’t look at you and just hummed in response. why was he acting so ridiculous?
“this is your first time seeing me in god knows how long and you can’t even look directly at me” you scoffed slightly as you felt yourself begin to get emotional “after the accident-after what happened you…you just left without saying anything to me”
taking a deep breath in you tried to control your emotions.
“i had to move to a different city just to try to forget you. but, you never once left my mind” you continued while your lip began to quicker slightly.
sang-gu sighed loudly before attempting to walk into the house.
you wouldn’t let him get away this time.
immediately, you reached a hand and grabbed his upper arm. he froze in response.
“i know you blame yourself for what happened su-cheol but it doesn’t matter now. mistakes happen and you need to let go of the past. especially, with the mistakes we both made. i want you to be a part of my future” you said and sang-gu finally turned to look at you.
his eyes were glossed over and you raised your hand up to place it on his cheek.
his hand raised to go over yours and he held it there, letting himself be comforted by your presence.
letting himself be vulnerable.
tears threatened to spill from his eyes as he allowed himself to appreciate your presence.
“i’ve made too many mistakes y/n” he eventually breathed out closing his eyes.
“no..you haven’t. sang-gu no matter how many mistakes someone makes, they can always change. you just need to allow yourself to heal from the mistakes. try not to be so hard on yourself” you said in a soft voice to him.
and that’s when something clicked, sang-gu suddenly ripped away from your touch and glared at you.
“you aren’t my girlfriend, you don’t know the real me. we’re practically strangers so just leave” his tone was harsh and you couldn’t believe what he was saying.
“is that really how you feel?” you asked, your tone now cold to match his.
“what do you think?” he scoffed before walking to go inside.
just as he was about to enter the front door you called to him.
“you know? if you keep pushing people away you’ll be alone for the rest of your life. there are people that care and love for you but, you’re too blinded by anger to see it” you told him and it must’ve hit a nerve because he suddenly turned to look at you.
“and you’re one of those people? you didn’t even try to find me when i left and you didn’t even visit me in prison. don’t act like you care. just leave me alone” he spat at you.
even though you wanted to give him the same attitude back you just couldn’t do it. you knew he was only acting like this because of all the hurt he had been through.
“i give up sang-gu. i don’t know what to do to make you realise that i love you. i always have. and i will always continue to no matter what” with that last sentence you held back tears as you turned to walk away.
if not having you around was what sang-gu wanted then you’d give it to him.
you started to walk off, you needed to get out of there as soon as possible before you broke down.
tears slowly began to leave your eyes and you sniffled while wiping them.
suddenly, you felt a hand grab your arm and pull you to turn the other way. you were then met with sang-gu.
he examined your facial expression and before you knew it his lips were connected with yours, his hands moved to cup your face and you melted into the kiss.
after a couple of seconds you pulled away and he then pulled you into a tight hug, he was embracing you like he didn’t want to let you go.
“im sorry for everything, i’ve been an idiot and i’d like to have a future with you if you still want one with me” he whispered and you nodded instantaneously.
“of course, that’s all i ever wanted” you looked up at him as he continued to hug you.
he let out a smile and placed a soft kiss on your forehead.
he wasn’t going to let you go anytime soon.

Okay guys here’s my writing sample for my current work in progress!
└── ⋆⋅⚡️⋅⋆ ──┘
Shazam: City of Brotherly Love
Chapter one: Work in Progress
(Revision: fight scene fix & grammar fix )
It was an early autumn day. The kind of day where the wind was cool and brisk, but the sun covered everything with a subtle warmth that I could feel against my skin. I was intermixed in the small crowd that was my new foster siblings as we walked down the block, on our way to school. It was my first day at Fawcett High, my second day at the Vasquez house, and my third time getting reassigned to a new home this year.
I’ve done a lot of moving around, especially these past few years, but I don’t let that stuff get to me. I am so close to actually finding my mom this time around. I’m just really hoping the kids in this group home actually leave my stuff alone. I always keep the most important things in my backpack anyways, because I get tired of people rummaging through my belongings when I'm not looking.
As Freddy and Mary talked amongst themselves, the youngest kid in the group home was most excited to give me a tour. Her name was Darla, and it was the easiest to remember because she wrote it on a banner she hung on the wall, over the bed I was sleeping in this past weekend.
She talked the entire time. And I felt kinda bad that she was wasting her breath, because I was only half listening anyways, tuning in and out of her descriptions as we made our way into the school. It was a very familiar scene. A sea of a thousand faces passing by. People talking, people screaming, people jumping, hugging, and twirling each other around as if they didn’t just see each other yesterday.
Darla’s voice pulled me back out of my train of thought. “And here’s the main hallway. This school is pretty big so if you get lost, there's a map over there. But I think for today I could walk you to your first class just in case.”
Freddy cut into the conversation , “Hey, I think he’s got it from here, D. I know you’re excited for him to have his first day at Fawcett, but let’s just give him a little room to breathe for now.”
As we made our way over to their lockers, Darla went with Mary and stopped at her locker first. I continued walking down the hall following Freddy’s lead as we made our way to his locker. He looked over at me with a hint of concern in his eye. I felt his gaze look me up and down quickly before taking a step closer. “Hey dude, you’re okay, right? I know this is a lot for one morning.”
I rubbed the bridge of my nose while I took a second to think. Doing the whole “new foster kid” thing at almost every school in West Philly didn’t really phase me, but I was pissed that I got reassigned to a group home on the other side of town. I knew getting caught was going to be a major setback and I still had a lot of work to do if I was gonna keep trying to find mom. Not to mention I already spent what little money I had on bus passes and subway tokens.
I look back at Freddy, “Yeah, I’m fine.” I let myself fall back onto the lockers to lean on them as we continue talking.
“Don’t worry. I know new faces, new school, new home. It’s a lot. I get it, but I genuinely think once you kinda get the feel for things around here you’re gonna fit in perfectly.”
“Everyone says that, Freddy.” I look off to the side, avoiding eye contact as he shoots me an abrupt look of confusion, tilting his head to one side as he furrowed his eyebrows, seemingly at a loss for words.
“Look. I don’t mean to be a dick but, I don’t plan on staying here for long. I'm sure you guys are lovely, but I already have a family. I already have a mom. They’re out there, looking for me. I know it.”
Freddy let out a small sigh. “Billy, look. I know this shit sucks, hard. Everyone in this house has done their fair share of running away too. We’ve all tried it at least once. But, you should at least give this place a chance.”
I lightly scoffed at the idea. “Yeah, well whatever, I guess.”
“Listen I know I can’t stop you if you’ve already got your mind set on looking for your mom. But, just between us, I would just try to settle down somewhere until you age out of the system so you can at least keep a roof over your head.” I could see his expression grow more concerned as he spoke. “I just don’t want you to run out of places you can fall back on.”
As I opened my mouth to reply, I was interrupted by the loud crash that was two upperclassmen barging down the hall. To my unfortunate surprise they slam open the locker door next to Freddy, nearly crushing his hand in the process. Freddy scoffed, annoyed as we saw them jam wads of crumpled papers into their lockers.
“Hey Freeman, you wanna keep your crutches to yourself bro?” One of the guys said as he pushed Freddy’s crutch with his shoe.
“Seriously man, how many peoples toes do you smash with that thing in a day?”
Freddy took a step back. “Dude, I was here first, and I was almost done anyways. What’s your problem?”
Both of the upperclassmen started to smirk at each other in amusement. “It was just a joke man, you don’t have to be so soft all the time.” Then he pushed Freddy backwards into me and I felt the weight of his body hit me like a bag of sand. I helped him regain his balance so he didn’t get the chance to fully hit the ground. But these douchebags were seriously just okay with doing this?
“Freddy, who the hell are these guys?” I whisper to him as I hear Mary shout in the distance. Slamming her locker and starting to yell at them as she stomps over.
Freddy says, “They’re the Bryers. Most annoying dudes in school.” He rolls his eyes. “They’re both technically in my grade but one of them is a super senior, so he should’ve already graduated by now.”
“Yeah, that guy who shoved you looks like he’s pushing thirty. He should probably worry more about figuring out his plans for retirement instead of being a dick.”
Freddy covers his mouth with his free hand as we both start to giggle to ourselves. Then as we regain our chill we start to tune back into Mary’s scolding. “And another thing, literally half the things you guys say aren’t even “jokes”. They’re just shallow insults you guys laugh after saying because you guys are assholes.”
Freddy seemed a little taken aback by Mary calling someone an asshole, especially since Darla was standing only a few feet away.
“You guys need to grow up. You’re not funny, no one here likes you, and you guys need to learn to keep your hands to yourself and leave people alone!”
I started to wince a bit at the scenario playing before me. I could tell that Mary was pissed, and that she meant every word she said. She was standing up for her brother, and I respect that. But, after every word the Bryers just smiled and giggled to each other more and more. They didn’t care about anything she was saying, they were just getting entertainment out of the fact that she was so mad her face was turning red.
They continued to take turns taunting. One of them jumped back into the conversation, “What are you gonna do about it Bromfield? Give me a lecture? Send me to my room? Mary please, you’re such a baby. Just because you like to boss people around all day and play pretend mom for your fake siblings doesn’t actually make you the boss of anyone. It just makes you look like a massive dork.”
Mary recoiled in disbelief. Any red in her cheeks that she lost catching her breath in the passing moments came back twofold.
I spoke up from behind Mary as she whipped her head around, almost seemingly like she forgot that Freddy and I were witnessing these boneheads too. “You guys are being total assholes for no reason.”
The brothers pushed Mary out of the way and walked over to me and Freddy. Their faces etched with both disgust and confusion. “ I don’t know who this guy is, but let’s get one thing straight. We weren’t being assholes, you guys are just babies. Do none of you guys know what a joke is or are you guys just soft or something?”
“At least I’m not soft in the head, like you two are.”
Freddy shot me an alarmed side eye as the brothers talked amongst each other. Under their breath I could hear one of them say. “Did you just call us stupid?” He said as he shoved me with annoyance.
“Get your gross-ass hands off of me!” I fired back as I shoved the younger brother into his older brother as a taste of his own medicine.
Then they both started to walk closer to me, their figures blocking out the lights in the hall as the smell of body odor and old milk started to creep into my nose. I took a step back to try and preserve my personal space.
“We’re not soft in the skull, dipshit. But you might be.” One of the brothers said as he grabbed my head and slammed it into the wall of lockers behind me.
A sharp jolt of pain shot through every inch of my skull as I grabbed the back of my head in sudden agony. I accidentally let out a small yelp as the feeling erupted through all my nerves. Overwhelming me before I could even process what just happened.
The loud crash of the lockers made everyone in the hall start to look in our direction.Their faces slightly blurred as a sudden wave of dizziness tuned out the shouts of the growing crowd. It was time to go. I ducked under one of the brothers arms and tried to make a break for the exit, only making it two steps before I was yanked backwards by the hood of my jacket.
I tried to squirm around to break free, trying to focus more on escaping than landing any hits, but I was hardly able to keep my feet on the ground. The younger brother put his arms underneath both of my armpits, locking me into place and forcing both of my arms out to the side. Leaving me in an extremely unfavorable position to win this fight.
The older of the two brothers started to roll up his sleeve as he stomped closer to me, winding up his fist to punch me as hard as he could. The faint sounds of Freddy and Mary shouting at them to stop faded into the distance as I saw his fist come hurtling towards me.
I had only seconds before I was either about to lose either some of my teeth or some of my breakfast. So I had to think fast. As the younger of the two brothers was still struggling to hold me still I reflexively ducked just in time to hear the *click* of his brother’s knuckles colliding full force into his jaw.
The feeling of the icy cold floor was an immediate taste of relief that I never thought I’d feel as I got up and started to make a run for it. The bell for first period rang throughout the halls as I saw a flock of adults running over to the Bryers. I escaped and made my way out the front two doors. As I sprinted out to the sidewalk I heard the Bryers burst out of the school’s front doors right behind me, cussing me out as they began to chase after me.
Not the best first day I’ve ever had, but definitely one of the most entertaining ones.
End.

10 things I hate about you | 11
I sighed getting out of bed.
I had a major headache. I always got them when I was thinking too hard about something. I opened my nightstand to get an Advil and then got up to get ready for school.
Like normal I didn't go all out, I got on a simple outfit and started my walk for school.
It was very windy today for some reason, but I guess I can't be surprised because like everything else in Paradis the weather was unpredictable.
I made it to school, met up with Annie and we made our way to class.
I saw Eren when I walked into class but ignored him and put my head down.
"Cheer up buttercup, you aren't happy to see me?" Eren said as he sat in front of me.
"Eren leave her alone." Armin quickly came to his side to defend me.
I put my head up and was face to face with Eren. Today I didn't feel like crying. I don't know why but I was just tired. Today I felt like I was a zombie just existing to exist with no other purpose and I don't think anyone could change that, not even Eren.
"Come on Armin we're just talking, right y/n?" Eren looked at Armin then back at me but I just put my head back down.
Eren was about to say something about how I was acting today but was soon stopped by Mr. Smith coming in the classroom and that Sasha girl shouting.
"Mr. Smith you forgot to put the partners on the board" Sasha said.
"I'm sorry Sasha. After you guys, I had five classes, so I did forget. But in order to simply assign you partners this morning, I did spend time yesterday writing all of your names on popsicle sticks. Mr. Smith stated with a small smile, but when he saw that the class wasn't interested, his expression returned to normal.
"I'll read them now," he said, mixing up the cup of popsicle sticks he had.
He pulled out two popsicle sticks and began to read the names off of them. "
"Connie and......Sasha" He read, making both Connie and Sasha get a big smile on their faces.
Lucky them, I thought to myself. I knew I wouldn't get a good partner because everyone in this class hated me except for Annie. But the chances of getting her were unlikely since, when has life ever been that good to me?
"Annie and..." Mr. Smith said, reaching for another stick. I crossed my fingers and hoped it'd be my name he called but of course, "Armin"
I mentally sighed when I heard I wasn't getting Annie but what I heard next was much worse. "Y/n and......Eren"
I literally slammed my head on the desk. I didn't even mean to; it was just a reflex but still.
It's been confirmed my life really is a circus and sadly for me I have to be the clown to entertain everyone. I mean come on it's crazy how everyone else gets the people they want, and I get Eren fucking Yeager. The guy who hates my whole existence.
After Mr. Smith said I would be partnered up with Eren I zoned out. I didn't care to hear anything anymore.
I didn't notice how long I had been zoned out until I felt a tap on my arm.
The tap came from Annie's side of my body, so I knew it was her. Eren wouldn't dare put his hands on me near Annie.
"We have to start working with our partners" she informed me and just as she did Eren turned his chair around and began staring at me like a hawk.
Armin also turned his chair around and flashed me and Annie smiles.
I sent him one back and then faced Eren. I thought I was okay working with him but as soon as my eyes met his I just felt drained.
I got up and walked to Mr. Smith's desk which made Eren confused so he watched my every movement.
"Hi Mr. Smith" I said when I approached his desk. He looked up at me and put down his stack of papers.
"Hello y/n, how can I help you?"
"Well, my stomach hurts really bad and I really need to go to the bathroom." I said with a frown while rubbing my stomach.
Mr. Smith reached for the bathroom pass and then handed it to me. "Here you go"
"Thank you, sir," I walked out of the classroom.
In truth I wasn't going to the bathroom, I was going to the library to rest. I was extremely tired and would much rather sleep than see Erens dumb face.
-
Erens Pov
It's been about 20 minutes and y/n still aren't back. It's not like I care but I am trying to pass this class and I can't really do that if I don't have a partner.
"Eren, can you come here for a second?" Mr. Smith asked, making me get out of my seat and walk over to him.
"Yes sir?"
"Y/n has been gone a long time. Can you go check on her? I'm a bit worried." He said scratching the back of his head.
"Uh sure sir. Where is she?"
"She's in the bathroom, Thank you"
I made my way out of the class and to the bathroom where y/n was supposed to be.
Since it was the girl's bathroom I couldn't just go in, so I knocked on the bathroom door but got no answer. "Y/n" I called but still no answer. "Is anyone in there?" I said but didn't get an answer. I decided to just walk in the bathroom to see if she was there, but she wasn't. All the stalls were empty.
I was about to walk out of the bathroom when I bumped into someone.
Historia.
"Eren" she beamed. "You must've gotten my message about meeting me here. I mean it was 20 minutes ago, but you came and that's all that matters." She smiled and hugged me.
I didn't know what the hell she was talking about. If I'm being honest, I've had her blocked for a week now so I definitely wouldn't have gotten her message.
"Ah no actually I'm looking for y/n" I said getting her off me.
"Oh," she said, trying to hide the dirty look that was trying so hard to reach her face. "Why would you do that?" she said with a smile, but I could tell she wasn't being genuine because her voice cracked.
"Mr. Smith asked me to" I said, rocking on my heels. The conversation was awkward.
I saw instant relief on her face when she saw I wasn't looking for y/n on my own freewill. "Do you think we can hang then?" She asked me and began to get a little touchier which let me know by "hang" she meant fuck.
"Oh no I'm actually trying to get back to class, maybe later though."
She sighed and gave me her best puppy dog eyes. "Please Eren, I need you." She whined.
Her begging did nothing but annoy me. I tried to keep my cool, but I could feel myself getting ready to tell her to fuck off. "I'm sorry but I really have to go."
I didn't even give her a chance to beg. I just left.
I didn't know where y/n was. For all I know she could be anywhere so I texted Armin and asked if he could ask Annie or something.
He told me that she was most likely in the library, so I headed there.
Sure, enough when I went into the library the first thing, I saw was a sleeping y/n.
I was going to go up to her and wake her up, but as I got closer, I changed my mind. I'm not sure why, but I didn't want to wake her. She appeared to be sleeping peacefully, and something told me she needed the rest.
On a normal day, this would have only made me want to mess with her even more, but something felt off. I really only messed with her to see if she would break, but today she just didn't feel breakable.
I didn't mean this in a way that suggested she was too happy for me to break through; rather, I meant that it seemed as though she had already been broken.
I decided to just sit and wait for her to get up.
-
Third person Pov
About 10 minutes later you finally decided to get up.
You extended your arms and glanced in front of you when you saw the brunette seated across from you looking at his phone.
You jumped a little startled from his presence.
"What are you doing here?" You spoke quietly because you were in a library and your voice was raspy from just waking up.
He put his phone back in his pocket before looking at you. "Great, you're finally awake." He gave you a smirk and flicked your forehead. "Mr. Smith was worried because you were gone for so long and wanted me to check up on you. He thought you had overdosed in the bathroom or something" Eren stated going back on his phone.
"Oh" was all you said. You started to get up ready to make your way back to class when Eren grabbed your arm.
"Where are you going?" He asked.
You looked at him like he was half stupid and then pulled your arm away. "I don't know Eren we are in a school, and I have class, I think you can put the pieces together"
Eren rolled his eyes. "Damn you're real sassy today" Eren grabbed your arm again but this time he pulled you down towards his face. "If you don't fix that attitude, I may have to fix it for you." He said with a flirtatious smirk on his face. He reached his other hand up to touch your face, but you instantly smacked it away.
You walked out of the library and sat on the ground next to the door.
It was still windy outside, but you didn't mind because you needed the breeze.
You were seriously considering skipping the rest of school, but then you remembered you'd have to deal with your dad when you got home, which you didn't want to do, so skipping wasn't an option.
You crossed your arms on top of your knees and put your head down. "When is this hell going to end?" You mumbled to yourself.
You sat there for a few seconds before you heard the library door open.
You put your head up a little to see who it was and of course it was Eren so you groaned and put your head back down.
"y/n we only have 15 more minutes of the first period so i'm going back to class do what you want." Eren said and then walked away.
You inwardly cursed yourself for sleeping for so long. You didn't even realize you'd slept for that long; you believed you just slept for 20 minutes. You stood up and began walking to class. However, you took a different path than Eren. You didn't want to walk with him and listen to his negative remarks.
Your route was slightly longer than Eren's, and by the time you arrived at class, he was already sitting in his chair.
Surprisingly Mr. Smith didn't seem upset about your disappearance and when you tried to go up to him to explain all he said was, "Eren already told me. I understand these things happen, don't worry about it." with a smile
It made you wonder what Eren had told him but then again, your headache had taken over all your thought process, so you nodded and headed to your seat.
When you started approaching your seat Eren didn't notice you because he was turned around talking to Armin and Annie. While approaching your seat you overheard a bit of their conversation.
"Annie, how could you be friends with someone so selfish like that?" Eren said.
"You're one to talk." Annie said defending you like usual.
"Oh what's that supposed to mean? When i'm partners with someone I dont go running off just to fucking sleep."
"And you give her every reason to do so." Annie said.
Eren didn't say anything, he just remained looking upset.
"I mean, Eren, you can't be that upset. Perhaps if you weren't so cruel to y/n, she wouldn't have run away from you. plus, she appeared to have gone through a lot this morning, so maybe she couldn't deal with you." Armin said, attempting to see everything through.
"Whatever" Eren huffed. "I don't even know why I covered for that bitch."
"Who the hell are you-" Annies sentence was cut short as you finally got to your seat.
Everyone went silent but you just put your head down. This made Eren suck his teeth.
"Was 30 minutes not enough rest for you? What was the point of coming back if you were just going to sleep again" he groaned.
"Eren I wish you would shut up for at least 20 minutes" you said with your head still down and with a sleepy tone.
"Aww how cute. Sadly i'm not a genie so get your ass up." he retorted
You sighed and put your head up, knowing you wouldn't be able to sleep because he insisted on talking. "Yeager, what can I do for you?"
"Oh thank you so much y/n for being so sweet and finally collaborating. I don't know you can start by working on your side of the assignment, ''he said sarcastically.
"And what might that be?" you said genuinely confused. Annie had told you but of course you forgot.
Eren let out another sound showing he was aggravated. "If you would get off your ass and listen-" He took a deep breath to refrain from saying anything that might earn him a kick from Annie. "Ugh we are supposed to write ten things about our partners."
"That's simple, why didn't you just say that." you said confused on why he had trouble saying the simplest thing.
"Yeah, it is simple that's why you could have heard it for yourself. But anyways don't just put ten things on a piece of paper Mr. Smith wants it to be in a creative way. "
"Okay let's get sta-" you were about to start but the bell for next period cut your sentence short.
Eren groaned and sent you a death glare. "You gotta be shitting me." He whispered.
"Don't worry class these aren't do for a while, so you'll have plenty of time to finish" Mr. Smith shouted.
"Great." Eren stated. "y/n meet me Saturday at the park at 1 pm you better be there." He said getting his backpack and walking out the door with Armin and Mikasa.
You rolled your eyes and began packing your belongings for your next class. When you were finished, you went to find Annie, who was, of course, waiting for you by the door, so you went to her. "Hey, are you ready? " She asked.
"Yeah"
"All right, let's go." Annie began walking, and you followed, but you soon discovered she was walking in an entirely different way than our next class.
"Annie, this isn't the way to our next class."
"I know, we aren't going to it"
"Huh? Where are we going then?"
"Were skipping"
"What why?" you were getting scared and confused at this point. You and Annie might have stayed in the bathroom for like half a class but never did you guys skip.
"Because y/n you need rest. You're obviously tired and you can't get the rest you need here."
"No Annie I can't"
"I didn't ask," Annie stated firmly, letting you know she would drag you if she had to. But you definitely weren't letting her win this because you truly couldn't skip. You would be too scared to go home.
"Annie, you know I can't. My dad would be mad if I showed up at home at this time."
"Who said we were going to your house?"
"Where are we going then?"
"Mine. My dad isn't home and won't be for the next 3 days so you should be able to get some sleep before having to go home."
"Aww Ann-"
"Shut up"
you giggled at her being unaffectionate as always.
Our walk came to a stop, and you noticed that you had made it to the parking lot. you got in Annie's car and headed to her house.
Annie's house was nice; it was middle-class, like yours. You'd only been here twice before, so it's not like you hadn't seen it before, but you liked how neat Annie kept things. You wished you could keep your stuff as tidy, but Angie usually messed them up. But it's not like you gave a crap.
"Thanks again," you said, sitting on her bed.
"No problem, I know it's probably hard to get sleep since you have a lot on your plate at home."
You sighed. "Yeah"
"You're a busy woman y/n and I respect you for that so i'm not going to let you work yourself more than you have to"
You chuckled at Annies statement and put your head in your hands, hanging it low. "Annie I don't deserve someone like you" your voice cracked.
"Don't say such dumb things y/n"
"I mean it," you said as you lifted your head to gaze at her. She froze as she saw the tears streaming down your cheeks. "I've met a lot of people in my life, and none of them have ever believed in me, except you and Levi, and that's why disappointing you guys hurts the most."
"y/n what's wrong with you today? This seems like more than just a few missed hours of sleep"
Her worrying only made you cry harder "I'm so sorry Annie"
Annie didn't know what to do. She knew you were having a mental breakdown but this one was more serious than the usual ones. She immediately got you some tissues.
When she was handing them to you you pulled her shirt and hugged her while you sobbed. She didn't care for affection but she sensed you needed it and rubbed your back until you stopped sobbing.
"Now tell me what's the matter y/n"
You took a deep breath. "Where do I start, Annie."
You ended up telling her everything that happened yesterday from the time you got home to the time you woke up.
"I wouldn't take it personally, y/n," Annie remarked after you finished describing everything to her. "Angie is young, so she doesn't comprehend how bad your father is. And I'm very sure Violet's words from yesterday prompted her to say what she said. She was probably projecting her rage and trying to attack you where it hurt because Violet taught her that.
"You're right Annie."
"I know," she said, making you giggle.
"When are you ever wrong" you shook your head smiling.
"I can't recall." Annie pointed at her chin looking up at the ceiling.
You laughed. "What would I do without you?"
"You would go insane with your crazy mind," she stated.
"Hey" you looked over at her with your hand over your chest looking offended. "
I mean you're not wrong but ouch."
Annie giggled. Which made you smile on the inside.
Before the two of you realized it you were on top of Annie tickling her and she was beneath you squirming and giggling. How did you end up here? Who knows, all that mattered was the two of you were having fun.
"Say it" you shouted.
"Never" Annie said giggling while trying to get you off of her. You knew she was having fun and joking because if not she would have been kicked you off of her.
"Say it Annie." you started tickling her more.
"No y/n" she continued to giggle.
If someone saw the two of you they would think that you two were a bunch of goofballs but little did they know this was the rarest sight they would probably ever witness.
You tickled her even more and she finally cracked. "fine , fine i'll say it"
"Then say it"
"I can't if you're on top of me"
"Oh. you're right" you giggled and moved.
Annie seemed out of breath from all the giggling so she seemed like she was trying to speak, that is until she pushed you and ran.
You got up almost immediately and started chasing her. You chased her all over the house until she made it to the bathroom and locked the door. "Annie, you can't stay in there forever."
"Like hell I can't," she giggled.
You sat down next to the door and gained your breath. You didn't know how you were going to catch her but you knew you were. That's when you remembered there was a window in the bathroom. You weren't sure if it was open but you were sure going to find out.
You made your way outside and to the window. Surprisingly when you made your way outside you saw Annie escaping out the window.
You made sure she didn't see you and then when she came walking in your direction you waited until she was too close to run and jumped at her. You landed on top of her and made sure her head didn't hit the ground.
"You think you're getting away that easy, without saying it" you laughed.
You started tickling her again and of course she became a laughing mess under you.
"Damn I really can't get away from you." Annie said in between her laughs.
"Nope"
"Fine then i'll say it"
"Good and im not getting off you"
Annie sighed. "y/n is my favorite person in the world." Annie said defeated.
You began to kiss all around her face which made her laugh. "y/n I didn't agree to this the hell" she said but couldn't even keep a serious demeanor seeing how happy you were.
To her it was a relief to see you happy because today you truly were not being your normal self.
While you were pampering her face you noticed out of the corner of your eye something furry near her fence. It was a dog.
You stopped pampering her face. "Annie look" you said looking directly at the dog.
"He looks disgusted." Annie said.
"He's like damn you homosexuals" you added making yourself and Annie laugh.
After that, you and Annie went to pet the dog, then returned inside, where you two lost track of time and napped, and the day ended there.
a/n - yesss y/n x Annie era lol jk but I love them. I missed yall! I'm sorry I haven't updated but my brain has been on E I literally couldn't put anything into words. But yeah. Did you like this chapter? Just wanted to let you know this side of Annie is extremely rare and you probably will barely see it again but slay I love yall so much.

...
We've been growing up in the forests of Pandora. Me and my brother Spider were humans, raised my the RDA people. But we were close to the Sully family. My best friend was Kiri. We did everything together, and my brother Spider always joined us.
He had a secretive crush on Kiri, I always teased him about that but he never admitted. Everyday since 16 years, we left in the morning, ran into the forest and came back late. We spend all our free time with the Na'vi and we kinda were part of the Sully family now. The kids loved us, Jake liked us because we shared a human connection to him.
Often, we reminded him of old songs and kept him updated about the happenings on earth. And Neytiri... Well, she tolerated us. She never really liked us, we were vermin to her. But she never scared us away, she knew how much we meant to her kids.
With the age of 14, we got our own Avatar bodies. It was amazing. Suddenly were the same height as them and we could finally keep up when we were running though the trees. We were the closest friends. Spider, Kiri, Lo'ak, Tuk and me.
Neteyam, the oldest Sully kid, rarely joined us. He always went on duty and training with his dad. He was meant to become the next Clan leader, so he had to learn a lot. But even when he joined our adventures, I never really connected with him. We had only spoken like five words or so.
He was the oldest and with that kinda out of my reach. I never really cared about him.
But somehow, in the last few months, I found him more interesting. I wanted to talk to him, but he had never time or just said a few simple words. I wanted to be friends with him, just like I was with Lo'ak. I wanted to get to know him. So I tried to be more in his presence, I sat next to him at the meals and asked him something about the training. But he always seemed distracted.
One afternoon, I saw him going into the village alone. It was my chance to talk to him. I followed him to the river right behind the rocks, that were like a natural border to the village. The last tents and huts were located here and most people that lived here, were fishermen. Neteyam sat at the river bank, his legs crossed.
I sneaked under a massive root, tried not to startle him. I opened my mouth to greet him, but a movement let me stop. The ferns on our right side moved and a Na'vi girl came out into the light. Neteyam jumped on his feet, a smile on his face. The girl grinned and they hugged, like old friends.
I ducked behind the bushes and furrowed my eyebrows. Who was that girl? She was pretty, her black hair was braided into tiny braids that were tucked back on her head. She wore beautiful jewellery and a feather necklace around her neck.
They behaved like best friends, Neteyam laughed about something the girl said. I felt a small stitch in my chest. How could she be friends with him? I wanted to be friends with him. How did this happen, he saw me everyday not her.
I closed my eyes, wanted to leave, when the wind turned. I could hear them talking.
"... with Y/N?"
Me? I looked up. Why were they talking about me?
Neteyam shrugged and huffed, like she made a joke.
"Nothing. I tried to talk to her yesterday, but Lo'ak messed it up and interrupted me."
The girl laughed. "Typical."
"And I don't even know what to talk to her", he said.
I hesitated, I didn't want to eavesdrop, but they talked about me. And was that right - he wanted to talk to me?
"Well you know her basically your whole life, I thought she was something like part of your family.", the girl said.
"Something like that, I don't know." Neteyam rubbed his arm with one of his hand. He seemed confused and lost. What the hell was happening here?
"Why don't you talk with Kiri about it?"
Neteyam laughed. "Kiri is her best friend! She would tell her!"
"Maybe that wouldn't be so bad", she teased him. His eyes went up to hers, anger was in his face.
"Cousin!", he hissed. "One word and I will kill you!"
He chuckled and raised both hands. "Nete! You should tell her what you feel! Just tell your Yawnetu (loved one)"
He wanted to hit her at the head but she ducked away.
I thought I didn't hear right. Cousin!? Yawnetu. What? My head was spinning and I felt dizzy. Did he had a crush on me!? He didn't even know me.
"I don't even really know her.", Neteyam murmured. The girl rolled her eyes. "Nete, you're always so clever but with girls you're really..." She shook her head and chuckled."Just talk to her!"
"About what?"
She shrugged. "I don't know, anything. Just get to know her. And maybe she will like you as well." He looked to her, hope shimmered in his eyes. "You think?"
"I don't know a single person, who doesn't like you, Cousin."
He smiled, slightly embarrassed. "I could ask her about the humans. You know, I always wa to to see their new base. Dad wanted to show me but he always forgets. Maybe Y/N can show me around." He shrugged.
She smiled a warm smile and put a hand on his shoulder. "That's a good start. I believe in you. You will do great."
"Thank you. Really. I didn't know who else I could talk to if not with you."
"You're welcome."
The girl got up. "I have to go, Mother wanted me to watch over the Skihiltom kids." She rolled her eyes.
Neteyam smirked. "Greet them from me." He also got up and they hugged. "I will", she said. "And you will keep me updated about Y/N, you promise?"
He chuckled. "I will."
"Kìyevame (see you soon)"
"Bye", Neteyam raised his arm for goodbye and left the river.
My head felt dizzy. What did I just saw? He came directly in my direction and it brought me back, out of my thoughts. He mustn't see me!
I startled and got up. Hasty I looked around and hid behind a large tree. My heart beat fast. I heard him walking by, humming a small melody. His feet almost making no noise on the ground. When he was gone, I carefully looked behind the tree.
I could not believe what just happened. He had a crush on me! He wanted to be friends with me!
A smile appeared on my face and a burst of energy rushed through my body. I needed to go back! I jumped onto the pathway and walked light-feeted back to the glade where the Sully family lives.
I didn't notice, I was humming the same melody as Neteyam earlier.

Hi hello !! I met another afro indigenous person yesterday who says she’s reconnecting also. I’m so happy to have another afro indigenous person to talk to but I also don’t feel very mutual with her if that makes sense? We’ve been trying to reconnect around the same amount time but when talking to her the vibes just feel very off. Maybe our goal isn’t the same or maybe it’s because different situations. Maybe with time we’ll bond more. But as of right now idk. I hate being weary of people or anything but I kinda am with her and I hate feeling like I’m questioning someones identity of intentions. Maybe it’s just anxiety.-🦪
I am so happy for you! but it also sucks you ended up feeling that way, but i feel you
And it could just be you guys dont click. I know that ive wanted to connect with people and i just dont click at all and it sucks bc it would be benifitial to me but you dont want to feel like its a chore yknow?
Definitely wait it out because you never know, but dont stick talkin to someone if youre not feeling it. bc youl just get anxious everytime they message you with the feeling of obligatory to message back
But yeah its hard when you come across someone whos goal is different, but i know for me a lot of people might think my reconnecting goal is simply to have the title of native. Bc of no context or little context, or the stuff i say
so it coulr also be this person may seem to not have the right goals or whatever the problem is, but that you just dont have all the context
bc i know i say words that dont exactly describe what i mean. Like saying the sun is too loud, instead of too bright.
It can come off as way different than one intended it.
Its just never easy. because you talk to someone who is "ahead" of you, it can feel like their "better" than you. or someone is just starting, and thus cant give you much like info or even personal experience
and even when someone is at the same level, it still as you know, can feel different. And yeah like of course do what you can
and dont feel bad if it doesnt work out with this person. You can have a kinship but it doesnt mean you have to take in everything every chance you get- basically, just bc you have this opportunity that youve been wanting, its not bad to decline it
For example, i want to learn Yoem Noki (Yaqui language) and there are zoom meetings for learning
i dont make those. i dont try anymore, and in thr beginning i felt bad bc. i have this opportunity that ive been wanting, its right there, and "me not taking it must mean i dont care enough "
but our anxiety and problems dont just go away no matter how much we want something. And so you have to be kind to yourself and accept that sometimes that opportunity isnt for you
and it really sucks! bc of course im sure you wanted this to work out. but you have to think of your wellbeing
Again tho id say give it a little time, but usually we can tell when a friendship isnt going to work out, or evene be close.
Also dont feel bad! its okay to be wary. But its easy for me to say bc im not in your current position
but if i was, i know id tell someone "be confident blah blah" but at the end of the day, when youre more in it than the other person its just hard to engage. it feels small? it feels like a nervous laugh.
Just remember your goals and your needs. You are loved and appreciated and welcome by the all the people who matter. Think of the people before you that got you here
their laughter, their songs, their heartache. And assimilation, colonialism, racism.
Feel all those emotions of warmth of love and anger to find your confidence. if that makes ANY sense lol. Like when youre alone with yourself and you think of the opportunities you have and dont go through with, or you feel isolated, just know yourself
that youre trying and thats literally all you need to do.
and all this matters, having that self confidence, because it makes situations like this more bareable. Have someone who you can relate to but dont vibe with? Inner confidence will allow you to not feel bad about it. Have the opportunity to take a class on learning thr language but have too much anxiety? You inner confidence will help you not feel bad. Oh well, maybe next time. Thats what you want to feel
So dont feel bad for being wary. It doesnt have to be seen as questioning intentions, see it as protecting yourself.
Because questioning their intentions isnt bad. doing that is to make sure youre not wasting your time, or getring to invested in someone
If anything you can out right ask them what their goals are. or milestones or what they want to feel. Not as an interogation but as naturally curious.
sorry for all the words i dont mean to send you novels
but yeah im so happy for you, but im sorey that you feel wary. If in the end you trail off from that person dont feel bad. Either they are a pretendian, or they just have a different path that doesnt conenct with you
My precious friend you will be okay i know it. Its going to be hard, maybe forever. But you WILL be somewhere different every step of the way
You will feel confident one day. you will find people like you one day. one day you are going to look in the mirror and everything will have settled in
in the beginning, especially as a black indigenous person, reconnecting is hard and rocky and awkward. and sometimes downright ugly and hurtful
but you take as long as you need to get there. wherever /there/ is.
for me, my first goal was confidence. and its taken a few years (unless you count my whole life up until now (29)) to find that confidence
but i still have goals. i am not /there/ yet. But i remind myself that i am not going to be on my death bed, looking back to now, sad that i didnt do anything- not exactly the right word but
like im not going to feel bad for anxiety. i feel confident. I declare i have anxiety and i declare that it stops me from doing things i want.
Im shy and i own it. I cant talk to elders, i cant connect with people i want to. And thats okay. It sucks and it hurts me. Its a negative thing, but ive tried my best. And thats all anyone needs to know or care about
You are Mvskoke. No one can take that from you. They cant deny the people who lived before you, that died. whos assimilation or whos colonialism ended up making you disconnected.
No one gets to tell you to ignore your anxiety or shyness or any thing like that. Because you know it, it is disabiling. But the focus is you are Mvskoke. You arent trying to be, you are.
Thats why its called reconnecting. We are already connected, we are taking back what was taken through colonialism and assimilation
So with this person, dont feel bad about how you feel. you are simply trying to protect yourself.
Do what you feel is best, and accept your anxieties role in that if it has a role. But dont feel bad. You are doing just fine ❤️

Fools - Chapter 3 - Part 1
BOOK ONE: The 'Fools Fall in Love' Trilogy
Tumblr media Tumblr media
*Warning - Adult Content*
Samuel Moretti
Not having to wildly search for my backpack, I had a more relaxed morning and even got to have breakfast with my parents and Haven.
Well, maybe I wasn't completely relaxed yet.
I slumped down in the barstool at the kitchen counter where Haven was already eating.
"Ah, good morning, darling," my mother greeted me, looking back to give me a smile before returning to the stove to scramble the eggs.
I made some sort of whiny, grumpy noise.
Haven rolled her eyes beside me before taking a forkful of her French toast.
Haven gestured to a plate that was coved with another plate.
I lift the top plate and see, along with smell, a stack of fresh French toast.
Lazily, I got up and grabbed a pristine white, plate from the dark, wooden cabinets then a fork from the drawer below and I slumped back onto the stool.
I picked two French toast.
"What's wrong?" my father asked me.
He was stationed at the small corner table, reading, I assumed, a news article on his iPad.
His thick glasses hanging low on his slightly crooked nose.
Thank goodness I don't have his horrible eyesight.
I was about to answer my father's question when Haven beat me to it.
"He's just being dramatic. He's acting like a baby because he spilled coffee all over this hot guy, ruining his chances with him."
"Haven," I exclaimed, flabbergasted at my sister's words.
"I'm not upset because I 'ruined my chances with him.' I'm upset because I already made an enemy on my first day and I have class with him."
"See? Dramatic," Haven told my parents.
"Sweetheart," my mom started.
'This should be good,' I thought, sarcastically.
"Just apologize."
I groaned obnoxiously.
"Obviously, I did that already mom," I said, rolling my eyes at her.
"Samuel Moretti," my father's tone was a warning and I sighed.
"Sorry, mom but I did apologize and he still hates me and now we sit next to each other."
"Sam, it was the first day of school and you spilled coffee all over him. He was probably upset and embarrassed. I'm sure today, he'll be willing to forgive you."
********
He definitely did not seem willing to forgive me.
I was a little early when I got to lunch that day and so was Noah.
He sat alone at the lunch table, eating what looked leftover pizza.
I looked around the lunchroom, hoping to find the others.
Carter and Jason 'the two boys from yesterday' weren't in the cafeteria yet.
I spotted Emily talking to a group of girls.
Probably her cheer squad.
Haven? No where to be found.
Eh, maybe I should wait for the others?
'No. Sam, it's not a big deal, just go over there and start a conversation.'
The coffee situation never happened. It'll be fine. So I thought. I sat down next to Noah.
"Hey," I greeted him, hoping my voice didn't convey the nervousness I felt.
"Haven't you made any friends yet? Or did you spill coffee on them too?" Noah asked, in a harsh tone.
I forced out a laugh.
"Yeah, good one, that's funny."
Noah grunted and returned to his lunch.
Conversation, conversation... what do I say to not make this awkward?
And where the frick is Haven?
Ugh.
"Your girlfriend's really pretty," I blurted out.
Yep, that was my attempt at a conversation.
Which apparently wasn't the best choice.
"What the fuck did you just say?" Noah asked, brutally.
"Uh hahaha," another anxiety induced laugh.
"Um, your... your girlfriend. The blonde I always see you with? Very pretty. Easy on the eyes."
'Shut your mouth, Sam.'
"You did not just fucking say that my girlfriend is 'easy on the eyes'," Noah spoke like he was about to beat the heck out of me and that was when I realized, he doesn't know I'm gay.
Oh goodness, he thought I was hitting on his girlfriend.
"Oh, no. Goodness no. I mean, she is but I'm... I'm gay. Yeah, totally into boys... men... uh, guys."
Ahhhh. What the hell am I saying?
Noah's eyebrows were drawn together like I had six heads.
"I just uh meant, you two are a very beautiful couple. Not that I'm saying you're beautiful," I added quickly, than thought that might've came off rude.
"I mean, not that your not beautiful, you are. but.."
Noah's eyebrows raised and he looked almost amused.
Oh God, I'm making a fool out of myself.
"Ah... hahaha."
Gah, I didn't even know Noah, he could be homophobic.
Did I just set myself up to be a victim of hate crime?
My head felt moist, was I sweating?
'Noah, say something,' I thought
I was getting nervous sweats but then, he did finally speak after looking me up and down.
"Kaitlyn."
"Huh?"
"My girlfriend? Her name's Kaitlyn."
"Oh, right. That's... that's a really pretty name."
"Yeah, just stop talking, now. I don't want to sit through another session of your word vomit."
I opened my mouth to speak on that but thank the heavens, the two boys from yesterday appeared.

Sea Of Monster: The Crews Beguining
Chapter 3: You're Different… Too Different
We're now going to meet another creature, that is on the Envluck island, deep inside the forest. His name is Whisper, he's a crow griffin that got adopted by a small family of normal griffins. They found Whisper's egg in an abandoned nest, and decided to raise him as their own. When he grew up, he noticed that their nest was really near a human village. The curiosity got the best of him so he hung out near the village, soon he started to mimic them, teaching himself to walk on two legs and mimic human speech. Then he started stealing at night stuff from the streets and the trashcans to help his family a little bit. He then found an old worned out cloak that he used to hide himself and walk in the village when it was a day.
This day wasn't as great as he imagined, his mother was sick. Yesterday she mistakenly got caught in a bear trap. Whisper got her unstick but the wond from it was starting to get infected. Whisper had no other choice but look for the medicine in the village
-mother- he said -i'm going to look for something, to ease your suffering-
-...- she didn't respond, she was too tired to do anything, even feed herself, Whisper didn't knew however that his mother is long gone, but he went in to the village anyway
Making his way through the town looking at every building, wanting to find any information on how to treat his mother. Suddenly he overheard a tale of two villagers.
-im telling you- one of them mumbeted angrily -ive seen a griffin THIS big just outside of hire-
-but what are we going to do about it?-
-so we go to the mayor, we tell him and we burn them down-
-your right, evil must be dealt with fire-
Whisper was unsure what they meant, but he felt uneasy by it.
-MOMMY ,MOMMY!- a sudden yell from a little girl's mouth was heard from behind, the child started pulling on Whisper's cloak, wanting to get attention. Whisper was scared only a few tugs and his identity would be revealed, but then the two villagers started to talk loudly to the crowd.
-People of the village. We need to tell you about the evil that we found, a cursed being of eagle and lion is living right next our village-
The crowd started to listen closely, giving Whisper a chance to escape. He immediately went back to his nest.
-mother!- he yelled -we need to get out of here! humans found us!-
-...-
-mother?-
He moved his mother, and finally understood that she's long since gone, he was now all alone, his brothers left the nest and his father was slaughtered, now his mother died. Whisper heard the villagers approaching, when he turned around he noticed that they were carrying torches. In an act of desperation he exited the nest and stood right at the entrance, wanting to scare the villagers away.
-LOOK ITS ONE OF THEM-
a villiger scream out, Whisper started screeching and doing weird hand movements but suddenly he felt something cold and heavy wrapped around him, it was a chain that the villagers also bringed along, they managed to make Whisper imobile and chained him for good, Whisper tried to break free, but he was too weak, they took him away, he looked back and saw that the tree was already ablaze. The villagers took him to the village, he was booed and got stuff thrown at him, then the villagers spoke
-we've captured the cursed monster that was roaming inside the forest-
The crowd cheered
-but what can we do to get rid of it for good?-
-BURN IT- one of them said
-HANG IT- the second one said
-No- the one who captured it said- we need to lock it somewhere far away, somewhere where it will never witness true light again, and i just know a place-
The villagers took Whisper height into the mountains, far away from his now burned down home, they then led him into a cave that originally belonged to a now long gone dragon. They tighten the chains on the old chain holders, and they just leave.
Whispers struggled, trying to break free, but that bringed nothing. He finally gave up after two days and layed, tired on the cold floor, lucky for him the bug population inside the cave kept him sustained to live another day

* ft. callie
“ YOU SLEPT ON THE TERRACE ? ”   that’s not something she had known, just that charlene had not been in the bedroom, and callie blamed herself for it. it’s a surprising kick to the gut, her shacking up in her and frankie’s spot, where she’s pretty sure nobody else has been crazy enough to sleep. that fact does ease some of the tension in her shoulders, even if it shouldn’t.   “ fine, ”   is all she says, not interested in getting caught up in small talk. lips press together, listening mutely at the apology. it’s not lost on her that charlene had apologized before naomi even had—a second time, that is. and as far as apologies go, it’s not half bad.   “ i mean, i get it. being in here kind of heightens your emotions sometimes. ”   hence the waterworks she’s been feeling the past few days, despite usually not the one to cry.   “ it just caught me off guard that you were so upset, honestly. i know there’s probably been some mixed signals from me, but i didn’t actually think you were interested until, like, maybe halfway through yesterday ?   so i wasn’t trying to reject you. i mean, it wasn’t personal, but i get that’s not really what you wanted to hear. i just thought we were friends, ”   she shrugs slightly, knowing the f-word is a kiss of death to post, but it’s genuinely how callie saw it,   “ and i really liked that. you were there when i needed you the first night here, so i was trying to be there for you last night. sorry if that’s not what you wanted. ”   if she hadn’t wanted to be friends at all.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“Uh, yeah. The day beds were taken and I didn’t really feel like being alone in the living room. I told you I like stars remember?” Admittedly, staring at the stars did give her a sense of clarity. Without risking the possibility of sounding like a pretentious philosophy student... a Kim there’s people that are dying moment. “Honestly? I’m always been an emotional little bitch. It just usually doesn’t come out on the second day like that.” It’s only a half joke, one that is both  emphasized and played down by a small scoff.  Charlene listens intently as Callie speaks. Taking a moment of silence to think about what she wants to say. “I was interested.” She says, looking down at her hands. “I didn’t do a good job at showing that though.  Like, after the first night when you told me your situation with Frankie and how you were bummed to be separated from her I felt like it would have been totally ick of me to make a move on you. I thought you weren’t interested in me. That you just shared a bed with me because it was the only spot available at the time. So when you kissed me yesterday at the challenge I was so happy.” She laughs weakly, because now she feels rather stupid about the whole thing. “‘Cus I thought — oh okay, maybe she does like me! Then only a few moments later I see you kissing Angel outside of the challenge and I thought maybe you would be open to… getting to know me too. That’s why I asked if you would be. So when you said you would only focus on Angel I got really bummed out. Felt like I missed my opportunity, or that maybe I did something wrong.” Her monologue was delivered in what felt like a long single breath, so she takes a moment to regain her composure some before adding, “I know it’s not personal but at the time... it was hard to feel like it wasn’t.” The word friends is bitter sweet, exciting and damning all in one. Her gaze shoots up back to Callie, “I didn’t want to be just friends with you. I wanted to be more. Eventually. Maybe. I don’t know.” She sighs. “I think the reason I was so emotional was ‘cus… I felt like I wasn’t even being given a chance. Like I got kicked out of the running before I even made it onto the stage. Not just by you. By everyone.” First day was the Seb and Rhys thing along with Jenny making it clear that she preferred men. Then add what Charlene thought was rejection by Naomi and then an actual rejection by Callie on the second day.  “You and Angel just ended up getting the shit end of the stick. I took it out on you guys and neither one of you deserved that. Besides, it’s not like you owe me one you know?" A chance she means, “If you wanna get with Angel then literally, that’s awesome. He’s a great guy. You guys are super cute together. You both deserve to be happy.” Charlene genuinely means that. Despite her little pity party yesterday she really does. “I’ll get over it. I’m already over it.” She has to be. Love island doesn’t wait for anyone. If she wants to find love, she has to look for someone to give her a chance instead of mourning those who didn’t. “So I'm sorry I reacted to selfishly. I just needed time, you know? I would still like to be friends. If you can forgive me.”

You were jostled awake by the RV hitting a bump in the road. You sighed softly, eyes cracking open to the dark RV. Glancing over at the clock, it read 4:36 AM. Sleeping was hard on the road, but luckily, you’d have a chance to catch up on some rest soon. There was a two day stay in Indiana to give the guys some time to rest after the show tonight.
It was a smaller venue, more intimate, but the guys were stoked to play it. Apparently The Hideout was where they got their start. You were excited to see their old stomping grounds, but the anxiety you felt being that close to where Stacy resided made your stomach feel queasy. It was either that or the pregnancy – possibly both.
You sat up on the side of the bed, letting your feet dip down onto the cold floor.
“You okay?” You heard Eddie’s sleepy voice, still hoarse from the prior nights show, come from behind you.
“Yeah, go back to sleep.” You said softly, patting his hand that reached out for you, “Just going to get something to drink.”
When you opened the sliding door to the bedroom, you seen Sam sitting up on the fold out couch. There was a small lamp on beside of her, and you could tell by the way she was curled up, she was reading the book you had loaned her earlier.
“Can’t sleep either?” You asked softly.
She acted as if she didn’t hear you and you laughed slightly to yourself. She was giving you the silent treatment apparently.
“Okay,” you said as you sat down beside of her, “Well...I just wanted to apologize. I snapped at you yesterday and I’m sorry.”
“Does he know now?”
“He does know.”
“Yeah,” you nodded.
“Did you take the test?”
“No, I’m going to wait at least a week. I’m just two days late so anything could happen.” You shrugged softly, “We had a long talk and I swore to him I could take care of it by myself, but he said he didn’t want me to have to go through any of it alone.”
“Will he go see Madison while he’s in town?”
“That’s all he talked about last night was getting to see her, so I’m sure.” You nodded, “Things aren’t completely resolved between us but...I get the feeling that I haven’t heard the entire story of what really happened between him and Stacy, or why she was left with his uncle. It’s hard for him to talk about.”
“Yeah, but he can’t keep you just waiting to hear the entire story.” Sam frowned.
“Holy shit,” she sighed, “This tour is wild already.”
“It is,” you laughed, “There’s less than a month to go, too.”
“What happens then?”
“Hm?”
“When the tour is over and he goes back to Indiana and you go back home...what then?”
The weight of her question hit you like a ton of bricks. Truth is, you hadn’t even really thought about it. You didn’t usually have to think that far ahead. Sam must’ve seen the realization hit you because you felt her arms wrap around your shoulder and pull you down into a hug as you felt the tears well up in your eyes.
“This isn’t fair,” you frowned.
Your home was one of the things you were most proud of, having bought and paid for it yourself your first year of working for the label. You weren’t ready to give it up and move so far away and that was a huge ask of Eddie. He had an entire child waiting on him to get back to in Indiana, he had friends and family, too.
“I know,” Sam said softly as she stroked your hair, “We can’t chose who we fall in love with.”
Your emotions had been a roller coaster, and paired with the weight of the emotions from the past two days, you were starting to feel like you were drowning. Sam held you as you sobbed into her chest, muffling the sound of your cries. You clutched to her tightly, wanting everything to just stop for even a few minutes.
When you sat back up, you were red faced and wet cheeks as she wiped your tears away. Her fingers tucked wet pieces of hair behind your ears as she swallowed her own emotions.
“I’m sorry for snapping at you,” you repeated your words from earlier, “It’s just...a lot right now.”
“I know. I’m just trying to make sure you’re looking out for you, ya know?” She whispered softly, “You’re important to me.”
“I know,” you whispered, “I love you.”
“I love you too,” she gave you a small smile, “If it’s a girl, name her after me….you have to. It’s best friend law.”
You laughed and shook your head as you stood up from the couch and grabbed a bottle of water as you looked over at her, “If...if this doesn’t work out with him, and I am pregnant...will you please help me raise it?”
She held her pinkie out and gave you a honest smile when you hooked your little finger with hers, “I pinkie promise the little bastard will have the coolest best friend dad in the world.”
You laughed and slapped her hand away before you made your way back into the room where Eddie was still asleep. Crawling into bed, you laid down facing Eddie. He felt the bed dip and his arm instinctively wrapped around your waist, pulling you closer to him as your legs tangled with his.
“You okay?” He asked again, making you laugh softly. He was still very much asleep.
It gave you a minute to really study him, your fingers ghosting over his smooth cheekbones and down to his lips, your thumb tracing the outline of his mouth, before you leaned forward and kissed him. He wasn’t as asleep as you thought, feeling his hand flat against your back as he pulled you in closer and kissed you back.
“I want you to meet Maddie tomorrow,” he whispered softly, “If you’re up for it.”
“Yeah?” You gave him a smile as you nuzzled your nose against his, “I’d love to...i just don’t want to be around Stacy.”
“I doubt she’ll be there.” He snorted, “Don’t gotta worry about that.”
He kissed you again, this time his tongue flicking against your lips for entrance. Your tongue brushed against his as he pulled your leg up over his hips, nudging his knee in between your thighs, right up against your heated core.
“Just wanna be inside of you,” he mumbled against your kiss, “Need to feel you.”
“Yes, please.” You whispered, clutching to his bicep as you felt the need for him grow in the pit of your stomach.
His fingers dipped into your panties, stroking through your slit, thumb rubbing lazy circles over your clit as his mouth devoured yours. It didn’t take long, the pool of wetness being spread by his prying fingers. Your nose bumped against his as you arched into him, a soft needy whine escaping your lips as you felt his fingers leave you.
It was replaced soon by the tip of his cock, just outside your entrance as he looked over your face in the dark room. You nodded slightly, fingers threading into the curls at the base of his neck as he guided himself inside of you. Trying to be quiet to not disturb Sam, you pressed your face into his neck, your arms clinging to him as he filled you entirely.
He nuzzled his nose against your hair, breathing you in, giving himself a moment just to feel you. His hands trailed up under the baggy shirt you were wearing, pinching and massaging all at the same time.
“You feel so fucking good,” he mumbled as his warm hands traveled up to your chest.
Being touched on and loved by him feltgood. It was the way he stroked your body, skilled calloused fingers scratchy against your soft skin.
You gently pushed him on his back, keeping him inside of you as you straddled his lap. His fingers dug in your thighs as you slowly rocked yourself on him, your hands resting on his chest for leverage. His eyes were glued to your cunt, watching as he speared yourself down around his cock. His fingers splayed across your thighs, large enough to keep them where they were and pressed his thumb against your clit, hearing your soft moans as you ground yourself down against him, the patch of public hair tickling your sensitive skin in all the right ways.
“Eddie,” it was a soft whimper, but loud enough for him to hear it.
He brought his knees up, knocking you forward a bit, as he started thrusting up inside of you, his cock hitting that needy spot as you buried your face in his neck, mind too gone to do anything else other than snake your hand between your bodies and rub your clit the same pace he was doing earlier.
His thrusts got deeper the harder he panted, breathing quickening as he felt you start to pulse around him. He nuzzled into your hair, cradling your head to his chest as he fucked you through your orgasm, and then chased his own, the two of you reduced to a sweaty, panting lump of bodies.
You stayed there with him buried inside of you still, his arms clinging to you tightly, and all you could think about was the happiness that bounced around inside of you. He made you so unbelievably happy. You didn’t get a lot of alone moments with him, but in the times that you did get to share alone, you felt yourself slipping further and further into his grasp, falling into him, no matter how high your walls were stacked. He always broke them down.
The next morning, the RV’s brakes woke you up. You stretched your sore body out on the bed, feeling behind you for Eddie and finding a cold bed. And then you smelled the coffee brewing and heard the soft chattering in the front of the RV and smiled to yourself. They were getting along by the sounds of it, which was a good thing. Sam was an important part of your life.
“Has she told you about the fact that she was in a band?” You heard Sam’s laugh.
“Y/N? No way,” Eddie laughed in disbelief, “Are you serious?”
“We both were!” Sam nodded, “Grunge band that never made it out of a garage, but we gave it our all for about three months.”
“She told me she loved music but she never told me she played,” Eddie shrugged.
“I played lead guitar,” you said as you emerged from the back room, causing them both to jump, embarrassment tinging their faces at the fact that they had been caught talking about you, “And sang.”
“A woman after my own heart then, hm?” He smirked as he stood up and walked over to you, kissing the top of your head as you poured your cup of coffee, “Can I hear you sometime?”
“There’s a reason why we never made it out of the garage, Eddie.” You laughed, “The reason was me.”
“I don’t believe that.” He shook his head.
“What else did she tell you about?” You playfully glared past his shoulder at Sam who just shrugged her shoulders nonchalantly.
“All good things,” he gave you a small smile.
“What’s on the agenda for today?” You said as you walked over and sat down at your big three ringed binder. His hand slid over your waist as you walked past him, fingers gently digging into your skin to try and keep you close but not completely clingy enough to stop you.
“I’d like for you to go with me to see my kid and meet my uncle,” he said sheepishly, “Let them know I’m not a complete loser and that I can pull a gorgeous girlfriend.”
You looked up at him a bit dumbfounded that went unnoticed by him as he turned around to walk back into the back room. You heard the bed dip and could see from the shadow that he was putting his shoes on.
“Did you hear that?” You asked softly as you turned to face Sam.
“Hear what?”
“He called me his girlfriend,” you blinked a few times.
“Well...aren’t you?” Sam looked at you from over her coffee mug.
“He’s never asked me,” you shrugged.
----
Being in the bands hometown meant being able to get rid of the buses for a few days. You, Eddie, and Sam had decided on staying at his own apartment while the rest of the guys went to their respective homes. You would be meeting up later at the Hideout for their show. You lugged your small bag of clothes and hygiene products up the steps behind Eddie, who quickly unlocked the door and let the two women walk in first.
“This place is a dump, just to warn you. But there’s hot water and comfortable beds, so...can’t go too wrong, yeah?” Eddie snorted as he kicked the door closed behind him. You dropped your bag down on the floor, watching as he walked over and turned the window unit air conditioner on. The walls were bare except for a few tapestries, the couches didn’t match, and there was a single small TV adorning one corner. However, beside of the small television, there was a rack of guitars and amps that spanned the rest of the wall. Above them was a huge collection of albums and tapes, a record player perched on top of the biggest amp. He was a musician through and through.
“It’s fine,” you gave him a small smile, “Sam and I have stayed in dodgy hotels for most of my career….at least we’re safe here.”
“Safe as you’ll ever be,” he snorted, “While in Hawkins, at least.”
He walked to the small hallway and pointed down to the left, “Sam, the spare bedroom is in there. I think my old roommate’s shit is still pretty much in there for the most part, but it’s clean and you should be able to rest easily in there.”
“Who was this old roommate?” Sam looked over at him, “Clean?”
“It’s clean,” he laughed and nodded, “Old roomie was Gareth before he bought his place with his girlfriend.”
“Okay,” she sighed in relief. She knew Gareth, he was clean. Thank god.
“And down here,” he said as he threaded his fingers through yours and pulled you down the rest of the short hallway, “Is my room.”
He pushed the door open and your eyes widened slightly. You expected messy and unorganized, but it was clean. The bed was made, black comforters laid neatly against the mattress that was situated in the corner of the room. You watched as he flopped face first down onto his bed, a soft content groan leaving his mouth as he melted into his own bed for the first time in a week.
“I’ve missed this bed,” he mumbled, looking up at you as you moved to lay beside of him.
His room smelt like him, it was like being completely surrounded. You moved to press your nose against his hair, breathing him in as he pulled you even closer into him, his arm draping over your waist as he pressed his face to your chest.
“You called me your girlfriend earlier,” you mumbled softly, fingers tracing the sharp edge of his jaw. You felt him tense below you.
“Was I not supposed to?” He asked quietly, as if he was worried he had done something wrong.
“I mean, we hadn’t really talked about it.” You shrugged, “I liked it...it felt good.”
“Are you my girlfriend?” His voice was muffled by your chest.
“I think the correct way is will you be my girlfriend?” You smirked.
“Will you be my girlfriend?” His voice was even more muffled and you looked down, seeing the slight red tint to his cheeks.
“Are you blushing?”
“Shut up and answer my question,” he groaned, which turned into a laugh as you looked down at him.
“I mean...I guess I love you.” You laughed softly, “Maybe we done this a bit backwards, hm?”
“Couldn’t help it,” he snorted.
“Yeah, I just knew when you damn near knocked me out with that door, I was doomed.” You laughed, hearing his own laughter bubble from his chest, “To answer your question, yes.”
“Really?” He asked, finally lifting his face to look up at you.
“Why not?” You shrugged sheepishly, “You’re pretty cute and I might be knocked up by you, so…i figured I should give you a chance.”
“I think you’re pretty cute too,” he smirked as he leaned forward and pressed a soft kiss to your lips.
You laid there for a few minutes, pulled flush against him, fingers gently rubbing at his scalp as he looked up at you, brown eyes warm and inviting. He seemed to have a perplexed look on his face, as if he was hesitant to bring up whatever was on his mind.
“What’s going on in here?” You asked, moving to tap the center of his forehead.
His fingers curled around the fleshiest part of your thigh as you draped your leg over his hip, pulling you closer to him as he laid in front of you.
“I felt like I put you on the spot earlier, telling you I wanted you to meet Mads.” He chewed on his bottom lip, “You don’t have to...i understand if you’re not ready for that, yet...but I want to share everything I can with you...i’d like for her to start being a bigger part of my life. Before I left for tour, I didn’t have her with me constantly, but I was trying more than I had before, ya know, and I just---”
“I want to meet her,” you said as you threaded your fingers into the hair at the nape of his neck, “I know she’s tiny and she won’t understand who I am, but...i’d love to meet your daughter.”
“Yeah? You don’t feel like I’m pressuring you?”
“Absolutely not,” you shook your head, “This is your home time. If you want just the two of you to go off for a bit, I can entertain Sam and myself. I’m not going to keep you from your family time.”
“What if I want you included in my family time?” He asked softly, moving to stare at you completely.
His question took you back a little bit and you felt the tears well up. Stupid emotions. You pushed his bangs off of his forehead as you bent down and kissed his lips fully, trying to will the tears away but they slipped down your face, wetting his cheeks in their journey. His fingers slid behind your ear as he kissed you back but stopped once he felt your tears.
“Why are you crying?” He pulled back a bit, fingers ghosting over your earlobe.
“It’s just nice to feel wanted,” you shrugged, “Haven’t had that in awhile, Eds.”
“I love you,” he nuzzled his nose against yours, “I’m always going to want you.”
After a few more shared soft minutes, fingers tracing and touching over your clothes, you got up and took a hot shower, staying in a few minutes too long. The hot stinging water felt amazing against your taunt muscles. Your thighs were still a bit sore from their overuse from the previous night and as your fingers drug the rag over your body, cleaning away any traces of dirt, you realized just how sore you were.
In the comforting warmth of the hot shower, you done something you hadn’t allowed yourself to do prior. You moved your hands up over your stomach, right over your navel. If you were pregnant, you were too early to notice any changes to your body, but there was a part deep down inside of you that just knew your suspicions were correct. No matter how scary it was.
---
Forest Hills Trailer park was a quiet little park out past the major train tracks that ran through town. Eddie drove you there with ease, obviously knowing the roads like the back of his hands. The back of his hand that rested on your thigh the entire way there. You were holding the bag of things he had bought for Madison out on the road. Small stuffed animals, shirts, different toys. He said something about finally being able to afford to spoil his girl when he handed you the bag, a sheepish smile on his face. You felt the pride that radiated off of him. He could afford a few simple toys now for his daughter...the smile was infectious.
“She’s going to be a little shy at first probably,” Eddie gave you a reassuring smile when he parked the car and looked over at you, “She warms up fast, though.”
The door to the trailer opened once you and Eddie were walking towards the trailer and Wayne walked out, a small toddler holding onto his finger as she stepped down off of the small ledge by herself. She was sporting two pig tails and there was a pacy in her mouth as her sneaker clad feet thumped over the wooden porch.
She made a beeline for Eddie, her brown curls bouncing as she walked as fast as she could, arms swinging with each step. You watched as Eddie squatted down and scooped her up in his arms, causing her to squeal in delight.
“Who is that, Mads?” The man, who you realized must’ve been Wayne, asked as he laughed.
“Daddy!” She grinned up at him, wrapping her arms around his neck and hugging him tightly.
“Hi, stink.” Eddie’s smile was one that took your breath away. He lit up around her, as she did the same. They looked nearly identical. Same nose, same pouty pink lips, and the same big brown doe eyes. She was just a tiny version of Eddie. He pressed a soft kiss to her forehead and whispered,“I missed you.”
Wayne walked a bit closer, pulling his nephew into a side hug before he turned to you and held out a hand.
“I’m Wayne,” he said as he nudged Eddie in the ribs, “Sorry, I raised him better than to not introduce the pretty women.”
“Sorry,” Eddie said sheepishly, “This is Y/N, my girlfriend. Y/N, this is Wayne, and this little stinker is Madison.”
“It’s nice to meet you, Mr. Munson.” You said as you shook his hand.
“Just call me Wayne,” he gave you a small polite smile.
“I’ve gotta run down to the corner store,” Wayne said as he looked between the two of you, “You okay with her?”
“Yeah, I’ve got her.” Eddie gave him a small smile, fingers tickling her sides as she squealed, “Take your time.”
You watched as Eddie sat down on the side of the porch with Madison in his lap and you flopped down beside. You could feel her curious eyes on you as you sat down, knowing she was wondering who you were. It must’ve been confusing seeing another woman with her dad. Wayne was gone a few minutes later and you pulled the bags of toys into your lap, hoping that just for a split second that she would warm up to you if she saw you brought offerings.
“Hi, Madison.” You gave her a small smile, which caused her to bashfully duck her head into Eddie’s chest. She silently waved at you with her small chubby hand before she tucked her hand between her body and Eddie’s chest sheepishly, “Are you being shy?”
“You can talk to her, silly.” Eddie said as he tickled her side, “You know how to talk.”
She pressed her face further into his neck with a small “mph!” to hide. You looked over at Eddie and gave him a small nervous smile as to ask ‘Please help me here,’ and then you got an idea.
“Look what I’ve got,” you said as you dug into the bag and pulled out a small pink teddy bear. You had slipped it in the bag before you left. Eddie wasn’t the only one who could supply the presents, “Daddy said you liked teddy bears and every princess likes the color pink, hm?”
The two key words got her attention and she turned her head a bit to look at you with one eye. Her small hand reached out for the bear, pulling it to her chest with a quickness that was unmatched by anything you had seen before.
“What do you say?” Eddie asked as he bounced her on his knee, “Can you tell her thank you?”
“Tanks,” she said with a lopsided smile that matched Eddies.
“She is your mini me,” You laughed softly as you shook your head in disbelief at just how much they resembled each other.
“Don’t curse the child like that,” Eddie laughed.
You sat and watched them, seeing the wanton look that came over his face whenever she smiled up at him. He gave her the rest of the contents of the bag and the two of them played for a bit. You had taken to just being quiet, watching them run around the yard, smiling behind your hand at Eddie who was resting on his knees, a pink tiara sat atop his head. You could see the love in his eyes as he watched her run around, playing through the bubbles that was being blown by Eddie.
“Here,” Madison said, drawing you out of your thoughts as she walked over to you and held her hand out, “You come play?”
“You want me to play with you and daddy?” You asked, taking her tiny hand in yours.
“Yes, please.” Big brown eyes stared up at you behind the biggest toothy grin, a small giggle coming out as she watched you stand up.
She guided you by the hand over to sit next to Eddie, giving you another sheepish grin as she slyly handed you the second bottle of bubbles with a look that said “Please?”
“Welcome to the next hour of your life,” Eddie laughed softly as he dipped his wand back into the liquid.
And so you sat there, for the next hour, blowing bubble after bubble through the plastic green wand, the laughter of the tiny child infecting the both of you. She was a blitz of energy, bouncing between you and Eddie for most of it, before she got tired and to your surprise, climbed up into your lap to catch her breath.
“She’s probably going to fall asleep,” Eddie smirked as he handed you her sippy cup, “You can take her inside if you want while I clean up the toys?”
He helped you stand up, and you felt her cling to you a bit tighter when you lifted her up with yourself. You could tell she was getting sleepy by the way her eyes started to slip closed, even though she was trying to fight it – afraid she would miss whatever was happening.
You made the journey into the trailer, the slated door slamming shut behind you and you jumped slightly. Eddie didn’t get his interior design skills from his uncle, that was for sure. Coffee mugs and hats lined the walls of the trailer, but everywhere in child height was pink. It was like the trailer was split in half horizontally. Pink toys scattered over the carpet, a pink blanket draped over the chair. He wasn’t lying when he said she loved the color pink.
Eddie walked back in a few minutes later, finding the two of you swaying slightly in the living room. She was still clutching her sippy cup in her hand, but her eyes were closed and she was fast asleep.
He took a few seconds to just watch the two of you, seeing her draped over your chest, cheek pressed tight against your shoulder. You hadn’t noticed him standing in the door way as you looked at the few photo frames that hung on the wall. He took in the way you slowly rubbed your hand over her back, soothing her while she slept. It felt natural to see you like this, as if it was in your nature. The door shut, getting your attention as you turned to face him with a small smile. A smile that warmed his heart.
“Here, let me go put her down.” Eddie said, gently peeling the sleeping girl off of your shoulder. She stirred a bit, wondering what was happening, but when he seen it was Eddie, she was back fast asleep.
He carried her down to the end of the hallway, and you found yourself following along. You watched as he bent down and placed in her her crib, softly shushing her as she started to whine, a firm hand on her stomach until she calmed back down and went back to sleep. You watched as he lightly stroked her still red cheek with the back of his hand, making sure she was asleep before he stood up straight and turned around, smiling once he seen you standing there watching him.
He left the door cracked just a bit as he followed you back into the living room, a soft sigh leaving his mouth as he sat down on the couch, pulling you down with him.
“She’s going to be out for a few,” he nodded, “Kid plays hard.”
“Just like you,” you laughed softly, “Queen Eddie.”
His hand reached up as if he suddenly remembered there was a tiara sitting on his head and he laughed at himself.
“Pinks your color,” you smirked, watching as he tossed it to the other couch and then rested back against the cushion, “You okay?”
“Yeah,” he nodded, “It just sucks knowing I have to leave her again. She warms up to me and then when I’m gone for even longer, it takes her a bit to remember me when I come back.”
“She didn’t forget you by the looks of this morning,” You grinned, “She bolted straight to you.”
“Like fire,” he laughed.
“Exactly,” you laughed, “She’s gorgeous. You created a perfect replica of you, you know that?”
His fingers rubbed up and down your arms as he looked over at you, a small smile on his face.
“I know you were a bit worried about meeting her. I could see you were anxious.” He smirked, “But you handled it perfectly. She warmed up to you faster than she has anyone ever before. Even me sometimes.”
“Did Wayne leave because I’m here?”
“No,” he laughed softly, “I think he uses it as an excuse to give me and Mads some alone time. He runs to the corner store each time I’m here...for hours at a time. It’s nice to just be able to see her. I’ve told him he doesn’t have to leave, I can take her to the park or something, but...i don’t know. He’s a strange man sometimes.”
You leaned forward and pressed a kiss to his lips, cupping his jaw in your hands as you felt his arms snake around your waist. Soft, tender kisses shared for a few quiet minutes before you sat up a bit and looked around.
“Those photos...are they you as a kid?” You nodded up to the wall.
He followed your train of sight and visibly cringed at the photo you were pointing to. He was a kid, a little bit older than Madison was now, sitting on the exact same couch the two of you were now. He had his moms guitar in his lap and you could barely see him over the top of it, but his smile was wide.
“I told him to get rid of that fuckin’ photo,” Eddie groaned, “Yeah...that’s me in all my nappy headed child ways.”
“You were adorable,” you laughed softly, “Oh my god, you even started off a musician, didn’t you?”
“Were? He feigned hurt, “How dare you.”
“You’re still adorable, but I would dare to call you handsome now.” You gave him a small smile as you looked up at him, “Maybe even sexy.”
“Maybe?” He laughed, “Okay, well you’ve definitely struck a nerve now.”
“Oh yeah?” You smirked, “What are you going to do about it?”
“Just wait until I we get home tonight,” he grinned, his tongue tucked into the corner of his mouth as he playfully poked his finger into your sides.
“Is she coming to the concert tonight?” You laughed, pushing his hands away.
“I couldn’t get any extra tickets, they were all sold out.” He said, biting back his frown. You could tell he wanted them there, this was the first time they ever sold out The Hideout, “Plus, I know the music will be too loud for her probably.”
“There’s always a way around that and there’s headphones she can wear. I keep a pair with me backstage.” You shrugged, “Do you want them there?”
“She’s never seen me play,” he gave you a slight shrug, “Not on a stage at least...it’d be cool for her to witness it, I think.”
----
It was an hour until show time as you went over your check list twice, making sure everything was set. The band had been in the RV since sound check earlier and you going over your last bit of check list when the door to the venue opened and you turned to see Wayne walking in and a bundle of pink of purple attached to his hip. She perked up this time when she seen you instead of shying away and she wiggled free of his grasp, making a beeline for you.
“Hi, Madison!” You said cheerfully as you slotted your hands under her arms and lifted her up, “You look so pretty!”
“Tanks,” she said again, as if she knew she was the cream of the crop. You loved her confidence, “Where daddy?”
“Daddy is out on the bus getting ready to play tonight.” You said, fixing her tiara, “Do you want to go see him?”
“Yes, please.” She gave you a smile as she clapped her hands together.
“You gotta yell at these men that there’s a princess coming through,” you said, dodging a few of the crew as they carried the heavy light rig through the slightly crowded space.
“Hey, watch out. There’s a princess here!” She shouted at them, causing everyone around her to laugh.
“I am so sorry, your majesty.” One of them called, “I’ll make sure it won’t happen again.”
When you got to the tour bus, you thought for a moment before you just decided to open the door and go for it. When you finished climbing the stairs, you felt your heart sink to your stomach. You watched as three of the four guys passed a rolled up funnel between the three of them and were huddled over the small tray that you had come to be able to identify in a split second. It was the same one you seen Eddie snorting from the night of the hotel party.
Thankfully, you were able to whip around before Madison saw anything to really question it. You handed her to Wayne and asked him to wait right there. None of them had realized you were even on the bus, too enamored with the white powder that had been chopped into fine lines already for them.
Without thinking, and without caring, you walked straight to the middle of their huddle and smacked the tray out of their hands.
“Hey!”
“What the FUCK, Y/N?”
“No, all three of you shut the fuck up.” You said sternly as you pointed a finger in their faces, “Listen to me. I’m responsible for the four of you for the rest of this goddamned tour and the sanctification of the people who have paid to see you. Now I don’t give a flying fuck what you do after the show, but an hour before show time, I do not EVER want to see you fucking using again. Do you three understand me? I had Madison with me, she almost saw what the fuck you three dumb asses were up to.”
Three. Three. There was only three of them. Gareth, Jeff, and Freak. Where was Eddie?
The back door opened and Eddie walked out as he slid his shirt over his head, looking down into the front sitting area as you chewed the three of them out. He wasn’t sure what had happened, but as he made his way closer, you were on the tell end of your speech.
He stepped into the room as they were starting to argue back with you and tried to get a grasp on what was happening as he looked around in disbelief at the way they were acting.
“You fuckin’ owe me $250, you dumb bitch!” Gareth said as he stood straight up and got in your face, pushing your pointing finger away.
“Hey!” Eddie shouted, gripping the back of his shirt and jerking him back down, “Don’t you fucking talk to her like that. What’s going on?”
“I don’t owe you shit, asshole!” You shouted as you glared at him, “Talk to me like that again. I fucking dare you.”
“Hey, hey!” Eddie said, moving to stand between the two of you, “What the fuck is going on?”
“I was bring Madison on board to see you and I walk in and these three idiots are snorting up,” you said as you looked between the three of them, “An hour before show time.”
“Jesus,” Eddie sighed as he looked around at the three of them, “Where is she? Did she see anything?”
“No,” you sighed, “Her and Wayne are outside waiting. Where were you?”
“I was in the back getting dressed,” he frowned.
You stopped him in his tracks and stared deep into his eyes, seeing his pupils regular sized. His nose was clean, there was no sniffling.
“I swear, I’m not on anything.” He said, sincerity set deep in his brown eyes, “I didn’t even know they were using.”
Eddie grabbed his coat and slid it on his arms as you turned back to the guys, seeing their three pissed faces. Good. They deserved to be pissed off for pulling this stunt.
“Clean this shit up and get ready to go on.” You said as you looked between the three of them.
“Fuck you, I don’t have to listen to you.” Gareth spat at you, disgust evident in his face.
“Gareth, I’m going to give you one more fucking chance to stop talking to her like that.” Eddie said loudly, nostrils flared as he stared his best friend down.
The glare down between the two men was intense, neither of them moved an inch for a few seconds, locked in a heated gaze that screamed in the silent tense filled bus. You managed to push him down the steps and outside to his daughter who squealed in delight when she seen him.
---
You kept Wayne and Madison backstage with you. It was a small venue, but the backstage seating arrangement gave you a side stage seat. Madison had her noise canceling ear muffs on as she danced to the opening act. Luckily, she was in her own world as she danced her awkward baby dance, arms tucked out at her side looking as she had wings as she bounced herself up and down.
Things were still heated between Eddie and Gareth and the tension was still thick, but Eddie shrugged it off as best as he could as he played with Madison when she gave the dancing a break. He tossed her up in the air, her pink dress a stark contrast to the band t-shirt and the ripped jeans her dad was wearing.
The band had finished their set and Corroded Coffin was to take the stage next. Gareth walked past them as the other three huddled up and gave you a death stare as he walked straight out onto the stage. You wouldn’t falter – you knew to stand your ground. He was just an addict in pain. He’d get over it eventually.
“You going to watch daddy play, huh?” Eddie asked as he picked Madison up and balanced her on his hip, “For the first time.”
“Yeah!” She laughed.
“Going to be my good luck charm, hm?” He asked as he fixed the pink tiara back on her head correctly.
“Yep,” she matched the grin on his face and you swore you melted as you watched them both move to kiss each others cheeks.
He handed her back to you, giving you a soft kiss on the lips, and then patted Wayne on his shoulder. You moved Madison’s earphones back onto her ears as the lights dimmed and the sound of a guitar filled the small venue. She sat in your lap the entire time, completely enthralled in watching as Eddie played.
Metal music was hard to dance to but as she stood up in front of you, she made the most of it, flailing her arms and mimicking her dad as he head banged out on the stage to the beat of the music.
When Eddie looked over at you as he took a sip of his beer, he felt his heart beat a bit faster. He stole plenty of looks throughout the usual performances, but this one hit a lot harder. Jeff was leading the band into their second song and you scooped Madison up, swaying back and forth to the beat of the drums as they kicked in, and for the first time since the day Madison was born, he felt a happiness so deep inside of his body that he felt as if he was going to burst. ------ A/N: Do you guys like the longer chapters like this or the shorter chapters? heartwarming (vin jin x reader)
details: fluffy oneshot, gender neutral reader but written in 2nd pov, general canon au but vin and mary kept their ppp era styles, you and vin jin are friends crushing on each other
summary: you buy matching sunglasses with vin jin. also, mary's there accompanying the both of you.
a/n: this is basically vin + mary antics ft you <3 pt 2 and vin jin edition !! pt 1 and mary edition here 💖
×
Vin Jin was becoming visibly annoyed and it took only two people he overheard whispering about his sunglasses. The first he brushed off but the second he nearly went to approach until you and Mary stopped him. In an attempt to defend his actions, he said, "Hey. Talk shit, get hit."
"We know," sighed Mary, "but we also don't want to bail you out of jail for assaulting someone in broad daylight."
You nodded solemnly in agreement. "Just do your best to ignore them, Vin. They're random people on the street, who cares what they think, right?"
Both of you gave Vin Jin an expecting stare (although Mary's look had less patience compared to you) while he glanced between you two. His lip curled downwards and he looked ready to argue, but instead huffed. "Fine."
"Good." Mary patted his shoulder and gave him the lightest push forward. "Now let's keep walking down until we get to that karaoke bar you wanted to visit."
Vin Jin grumbled as he went along and you followed. Truly, you understood why people would question him wearing sunglasses on a rather dark, cloudy day; but because you knew why he wore sunglasses in the first place, you still felt upset. Not to mention, he had started a fight with a classmate yesterday because the other guy was taunting him and trying to take off his sunglasses for some other guy's dare. It only made sense why he was still feeling prickly about said sunglasses.
You frowned as you wondered what you could do to cheer him up, at least a little. Going to the karaoke bar would be good, of course, but your group was still about 10 minutes away from the location. What's something small you could do at the moment...?
Suddenly, like a blessing, you heard Mary say, "Hey, look over there." And so you turned, and your eyes settled on a display of sunglasses. A bulb lit up in your head as you realized what you could do.
If you wore matching sunglasses with Vin Jin, it would help him stand out a little less. Sure, that would mean people talking about him and you but at least he wouldn't be alone anymore. Plus he mentioned liking matching accessories and clothes before, this would be a good thing.
Well... he said that when it came to having a lover but he still matched with Mary sometimes, so it wouldn't be that big of a deal if you matched with him, too, right? He wouldn't get suspicious you like him or anything?
"Pft, what a dumbass cat."
Wait, what cat?
While Vin Jin laughed, you moved your gaze to the side a little and saw a cat sitting by the window, tapping the glass to try to get to the shiny jewelry behind the display window.
Oh. Was that what Mary was referring to?
"Poor kitty," Mary cooed as you also took a moment to pity the cat before walking towards the display.
"Where're you goin'?" called out Vin Jin, Mary also looking at you with curiosity.
Once you reached the store, you waved them over. They looked at each other before shrugging and entering the store with you. You made a beeline towards the sunglasses and picked up two pairs, holding them up with a smile as you exclaimed, "Matching sunglasses!"
Mary tilted her head and Vin Jin looked insulted. He went on to say, "Oh, I see how it is," barely giving you a chance to explain yourself. "You're buying matching sunglasses for you and Mary, huh? Leaving me out with my own sunglasses, huh? Some friend you are."
"No, Vin--" You burst into a small bit of laughter. "They're for you! It's for me and you."
An awkward moment of silence passed as you three stood around. Mary eventually got your message though and brightened up while Vin Jin was only looking confused now.
"But I'm already wearing sunglasses."
"Switch 'em with these--" You held out one of the sunglasses. "--So we can match."
"Ohhh..." He nodded multiple times and then jolted. "Wait, you wanna match with me?!" Mary deadpanned at Vin Jin as a stupidly big smile popped onto his lips. He looked ready to burst with excitement as he happily took your offered sunglasses. "Why're you suddenly doing this, though?"
Your smile turned a little shy. "Uh, just as a thanks." That was a half-lie. You weren't sure how Vin Jin would take your actual reason because he didn't take "pity" very well so you kept quiet about that. "You know how last week I had that one rough day? When I slipped on the last step in front of a group of students and was just about to lose it, but then you fell down the entire flight of stairs to get them to look at you instead of me?"
"'Course I remember that, my ass still hurts!" You had a small laugh over his exclamation while Mary snorted. "Are you just thanking me again or...? Because you literally took me out for some dinner that exact day as a thanks."
Busted. Still, you fumbled to try to add on, "Uh, yeah, what you said. I'm just very thankful. So... I want to also do this."
"Well, that's perfectly fine by me," he replied rather smugly. You sighed quietly in relief and then laughed a little more when you saw Mary roll her eyes.
She lightly elbowed Vin Jin. "You're really simple-minded, you know that?"
"In a good way," he snapped.
"Nah, more like a dog chasing its own tail."
"The hell does that mean?!"
You lightheartedly interjected their bickering with, "C'mon, Mary, you've filled your quota of bullying Vin Jin today."
Vin Jin moved to stand by you as he nodded aggressively. "Yeah, Mary." He turned to you. "Wait, what quota?"
Mary shook her head, looking more amused than ever. "Nothing you should worry about. Let's get out of here."
Now Vin Jin was nodding aggressively to that. "I have a 'bully Mary' quota, too, by the way."
"Sure you do."
You snickered as you grabbed the sunglasses Vin Jin took from you earlier and walked over to the register. "Don't forget we have to pay for these." You momentarily waved the sunglasses over your head to show what you were talking about.
"Oh, right." You could've sworn you heard Vin Jin mutter, "We could just steal them, though, who's gonna care about two missing sunglasses..."
Nonetheless, you paid for the sunglasses and walked out with your friends. You handed back one of the sunglasses to Vin Jin as you slipped your own on. The second you did, you felt your stomach drop. You completely forgot about the way Vin Jin usually had his sunglasses darkened and these sunglasses were just... normal.
"Oh, no, Vin, I'm so sorry!" You grimaced as you explained what you forgot, and Vin Jin looked a little taken back.
"Uh... it's fine." That's what he said, but he was clearly uncomfortable. It seemed like he was mentally preparing himself for whatever could happen. "I'll just punch anybody who looks at me, don't worry. It's the small price of matching with you."
"But--" You cut yourself off at the sight of Mary snatching the sunglasses in Vin Jin's hands.
"Hey!"
Her hands moved quickly as she unfolded the sunglasses and popped the lenses out. Both you and Vin Jin dropped your jaws in disbelief. She just smiled and pointed at Vin Jin's sunglasses. "Trade the lenses. They look about the same size, so it should work."
"Mary..." Vin Jin sounded beyond touched, and he even placed a hand over his heart.
Meanwhile you clapped your hands together in a praying gesture, slightly bowing your head while asking, "What would we do without you, Mary?"
She just laughed at the theatrics of you both. "That's a seriously good question. Now hand the sunglasses over."
"Yes, ma'am." Vin Jin obliged and then started yelling as soon as his sunglasses came off. "God damn, it's bright out!"
"You say that every time." Mary took his sunglasses while he rushed to hide behind you. Your confusion turned to becoming flustered when he suddenly put his hands on your shoulders and hid his face in your upper back. It didn't take you long to begin laughing though, because Vin Jin was rather tall, and he was definitely looking ridiculous bending his knees to reach the height of your back.
"What the hell are you doing?" you asked in between laughs.
"Blocking out the light!" he replied in exasparation.
"Right..."
Mary was laughing again. "Leave them alone, Vin. And come get your sunglasses, I finished switching the lenses."
"Give them here." Vin Jin reached a hand out to which Mary dropped the sunglasses into. He stayed put behind you as he put the sunglasses on and then stood up straight, looking prideful. "Good, everything's back to normal." He moved to stand by your side and then looked at you. "And we match!"
"And we match!" You mimicked, grinning. Vin Jin nodded at you with approval.
Mary had the same kind of grin as she watched you two interact, but it turned into a deadpan as Vin Jin went on to say, "You see this shit, Mary?"
"Oh no, what are you about to go on about?" she sarcastically questioned.
"This--" Vin Jin pointed at his new sunglasses. "--Is what a homie does. I know this motherfucker would ride and die with me." He casually wrapped an arm around your shoulders to loudly say he was referring to you.
You tried to hold back a laugh as Mary's deadpan somehow became even more deadpan. "Because they bought matching sunglasses with you?"
"Hell yeah! When'd you ever do anything this nice for me?" When he was met with silence, he continued, "Yeeeaahh, that's what I thought."
"Uh-huh... and have you considered that maybe this nice person cares about you in a way different from me?" She gave you a mischievous wink and you felt yourself cringing a little.
Of course, you had told trustworthy Mary about your crush on her best friend a while ago. Although she said she knew from the start...
Vin Jin was completely clueless. "Um... I don't know what you're saying but I know I'm right so. You lose."
Mary politely stuck her middle finger up at him. "Should we get to that karaoke bar now or what?"
"How dare y--oh, right!"
Your laughter joined Mary's as the three of you continued your way downtown.
~
While you took a break to go to the bathroom, your two friends sat in the private karaoke room, waiting for you to come back.
Vin Jin leaned back in his seat. "Fuck, I need more matching stuff with them."
"Like what?"
"I dunno, but something that's really lowkey. So they won't think I'm down bad for them or whatever. Not that I am. Obviously. You know I just like them."
Mary looked off to the side. "Sure..."
"'Sure?' You better mean that," Vin Jin said, his words an empty threat as he took a sip of the fruit juice Mary had him order.
"Yup." Mary took a sip of her own juice, ignoring Vin Jin's stare.
"Anyways, I'm thinking about getting matching rings with them."
"Rings? Wow, marriage already."
Vin Jin was too lazy to move from where he sat to slap Mary's arm so he opted to just kicking her instead. She paid him no mind. "Not like that." He paused for an awfully long time. Then, slight blush in his cheeks and a soft, "Yet."
Mary's eyes gleamed. Her tone was teasing, but she had a genuinely gentle smile on her face. "Cute, can't wait for the wedding."
"Shut up." Vin Jin's blush worsened. He wished he had more to say, but he really didn't. Honestly, matching wedding rings were probably his ultimate goal, but that's not any of your business.
...Yet.

Denki Kaminari's annual Halloween bash was in full swing by the time Hanta had arrived. He'd come straight from patrol, wrapping himself up in his own tape making a half assed mummy costume for himself. Not like anyone would notice with the flashing colored lights, loud music, and abundance of liquor.
However, Hanta didn't even make it up to the double glass front doors of Denki's home. Not before doing a double take at the very familiar pirate that ran by him.
"Y/N?" You stopped allowing him the chance to catch up to you, "Holy shit, it is you, when the hell did you get back?"
Three years you'd been gone, working in America. Time differences and busy schedules made it so the two of you barely kept in touch. It was a shame, Hanta thought, considering how close the two of you used to be.
"I- uh- just a few weeks now. I heard you were helping out with the disaster relief after that storm."
It had to be his eyes playing tricks on him, the funny colors of the dancing lights were what made your cheeks look wet, right? Those couldn't have been tears.
"I was, yeah, but I got back yesterday. I didn't know-"
"Get the hell outta here!" His head snapped back towards the front of the house, just in time to see Eijiro, dressed in an impressive werewolf costume, literally throw someone out of the party. The guy drunkenly stumbled off, Eijiro walking over towards where Hanta was standing with you. "Y/N, you good?"
You nodded while Hanta tried to piece together what'd happened. "Sorry, it took me a second to find the bastard. Do ya wanna come back in? I'll make sure he leaves."
"No, Eijiro, thanks though. I'm just gonna head home."
The wolfman frowned but understood. "We'll have a smaller party for ya! Just the gang as a welcome home! You know Denki will look for any excuse to throw a party." He turned his gaze on Hanta. "A mummy, really?"
"You've been a damn werewolf for the last two years! You don't get to give me crap."
Eijiro poked the fuzzy pointed red ears carefully set into his spiky hair. "Mina and I worked real hard on this costume... seemed like a waste to only wear it once."
"We both know you haven't just worn those once, big man."
That got a chuckle out of you while all Eijiro could do was shrug and try to hide a shit-eating grin.
He asked you again if you'd like to stay and once more you said you were going to just head home. It was when you specifically said you were going to be walking home that Hanta spoke up offering to drive you back to your home since it was Halloween and people were creeps.
You were a damn pro hero but he still didn't feel right about just letting you walk home alone.
When you agreed he told Eijiro he'd be back soon and walked over with you to his car.
>>><<<
A part of you missed the old station wagon Hanta used to drive, not that this BMW he now drove wasn't absolutely amazing, you just sort of missed the comfort of the old car.
He waited until he'd reached the end of Denki's long, winding driveway to finally speak. "So, you wanna tell me what happened back there, or am I just supposed to pretend like Kiri didn't kick someone out on your behalf?"
"You could probably just ask Kiri and he'd tell you."
"I could, but, I'd like to hear it from you."
You knew you could tell him, there was nothing you couldn't tell Hanta. There was once a time when the man knew every single detail about your life. Sure, time and distance had put a strain on that relationship but you were back now. There was no reason why you couldn't at least start rebuilding what you and Hanta once had.
"Y/N, if you don't wanna say anything-"
"I was just casually seeing this guy. You know me and dating, how we don't always work out." You said abruptly and he quit talking, "And so, we weren't like official but we said we'd go to this party together. Well, I got here and went looking for him and found him making out with one of Hawks' sidekicks. I got a little upset when he noticed me and, well, he just said he found someone better."
Hanta actually stopped the car, pulled off to the side of the road, threw it in park, and looked right at you because he knew what found someone better meant exactly. You'd used those words in high school when that guy from Shiketsu that you'd been seeing got pissed off that you wouldn't put out and ended it with you. You went to his dorm crying because he 'found someone better', is what you told him. It took him a few hours to get the truth out of you.
You'd always been the kind of person to love with your entire heart but sexually, you'd confessed that you felt different from all the other kids your age back then. Not having the same urges and desires that everyone else seemed stricken with.
"Hanta, it's fine, really. Kiri heard the whole thing and, well, you saw what happened."
"Doesn't make it right! So, you went on a couple dates with a guy, that doesn't mean he just gets to expect you to put out for him! Even if you weren't demi, no one gets to just assume they deserve sex."
His lips were pressed in a narrow line, nostrils flared once in annoyance. He was usually so calm and laid back that you thought it rather cute when he got overprotective. "It's alright, Hants, really."
He still gave you a look that said he disagreed but then shook his head, dropping the subject for now at least.
"Still like those late-night drives?"
"I love them."
"Good."
Hanta waited for a car to pass and whipped the car in the other direction.
It wasn't long before he had the windows rolled down, conversations filling in the blanks of lost time, in between belting out choruses of your favorite songs. Minutes slipped by the further he drove, you lost track of both time and kilometers, letting him tell you all about the ridiculous antics the group had been up to.
Eventually, you caught the scent of salty air and even in the dark, you had a pretty good idea where Hanta was going. He followed a winding road, making two left turns and then a right leaving you on a stretch of road that paralleled the ocean.
You let your head fall against the seat, eyes falling shut and inhaling that wonderful smell you missed so much. Hanta had just one hand lazily on the wheel, his elbow resting out the open window, a relaxed smile was illuminated in soft orange lights off his dash.
You let your head roll onto his shoulder, not as easily done without the bench seat in his station wagon but it worked nonetheless. "Thanks."
His free hand came to rest on your knee, "Anytime."
He turned the wheel, pulling over and parking in front of a small beach access that you guys had found at 3 in the morning five years prior. Hanta kicked off his shoes, leaving them in the car to avoid them being sand-filled and you did the same with the knee-high boots purely because you longed to feel the sand between your toes.
The wooden planks were worn, parts buried beneath the sand until eventually, none remained. Breaking waves flooded your ears and you made a run for them! Before you could reach the lapping water though, tape had wound around your middle and yanked you backward.
"Not happening!" Hanta said firmly. "Last time I let you talk me into late-night swimming we didn't have a change of clothes either and we both got so sick! I think I might have actually died without Bakugo's soup!"
You chuckled, remembering being nineteen and curled up with Hanta on the sofa in the living room of the apartment you all shared for nearly a week. The sniffles didn't cease for almost three weeks.
"Okay, okay, no swimming." You flopped back down into the sand, his tape still attached meaning the cellophane hero was pulled down with you. "Tell me about the stars then, Hants. Who's out tonight?"
Astronomy was a hobby of Hanta's you learned about after moving into the dorms your first year. It wasn't uncommon to find him out on the roof most nights, laying on his back and looking up into the clear night sky littered with twinkling stars, usually with a joint pressed between his lips. It became almost a habit for him to grab you on his way up, pulling you along because you were more than happy listening to him tell you about each constellation and the stories behind them.
It was around this time of year, in your final year of high school; somewhere between him recalling the greek mythos of Aries and Sagittarius that you noticed your heart beating a little faster. You realized something had shifted between the two of you, and, holy shit, was this what it felt like to have a crush! When the hell did that happen?
You'd entrusted everything to Hanta back then, and now, laying in the sand shoulder to shoulder while he talked about Draco, that familiar feeling stirred again. You remembered what it was supposed to be like when you weren't forcing it for some random guy. How simple it was supposed to be.
You inclined on an elbow and he stopped mid-sentence. "Eh, everything alright?" You nodded but he looked anything but convinced, mirroring your position and asking you again.
It was easy for you to lean forward, to brush your lips against his for the first time in three years. And, when you pulled away, he looked about as shocked as he had the night you'd done it when you were eighteen.
"You- you still like me?"
When you left for America, you'd both agreed to put a pause on your sort of relationship. Free to date and screw whomever you pleased because three years was a long time and it just seemed like a fair decision to make. The realization that he might now have someone else special in his life dawned on you...
"Yeah but I totally understand if things are different now and I shoulda asked- oof!"
He kissed you so hard you toppled back into the sand, quick pecks, one right after another, ending them with a long one that nearly left you breathless.
"I didn't know how to bring it up. I didn't want to make you feel awkward about things or make you think I expected something. I thought that maybe since we didn't talk for a while your feelings might have changed."
"I can say with confidence they haven't."
"Thank fuck." He groaned and captured your lips in another searing kiss.
It was easy to lift his shirt off, the shreds of tape that remained were now covered with gritty sand that clung to your fingers as you traced the chest and torso you knew so well. Gliding over defined muscles, lingering on old scars and mapping out new ones he'd collected in your time apart.
His own hands were busy flicking open the brass fastenings of your corset, huffing about it being so much more difficult to get to your chest and something about it being very unfair.
By the time he'd undone the last one, bright headlights shown across the beach. "Shit."
Giggling ensued from the walkway and you both sighed, at least it wasn't the police or a hero patrol. Hanta gathered his shirt and ran back to his car with his hand in yours.
"I thought our days of being caught were over."
"At least it wasn't Mr. Aizawa this time."
A chill ran down your spine remembering the night and the lecture you'd received when your teacher had caught Hanta sneaking out of your room early one morning.
"So, uh, do you still plan on going to Denki's party?" You asked innocently enough but Hanta knew you far too well.
"I think I'm gonna miss it this year." His hand found a home on your upper thigh. "Apparently, you and I have a lot of catching up to do. Lost time to make up for and all that."
"Too bad you don't have that old station wagon anymore. If you did, we wouldn't have to wait to get back."
Dark eyes glanced over at you not so subtly parting your legs.
"I dunno. It's not too often I travel in the backseat of my own car but I've been told it's pretty roomy. Lots of legroom."
Your hand ran over your legs, dipping down to lightly brush your more sensitive parts, thankful you opted for the thin pair of black leggings rather than the dark skinny jeans. Your fingers danced again and this time you let a soft moan pass your lips. "Eyes on the road, Hants."
"That's a little hard to do when I've got you spread out in the passenger's seat." He grabbed your free hand and pressed it against the bulge in his pants. "You've got me distracted, filthy little woman."
You appreciated him testing the waters, a subtle way of checking if you liked those nicknames he used only in private with you, giving you a chance to protest if your likes had changed. They were one's that only felt right coming from him and you were eager to hear more.
Forgoing your own high, you leaned over the center console as best you could, undoing his belt first, followed quickly by his zipper letting his strained cock be free.
His grip tightened on your leg when you kissed the tip of him. "Just like old times, huh?"
A chuckle turned quickly into a moan, taking him in your mouth, pushing yourself further on his cock, fighting your gag reflex to get him down your throat. Hanta reclined his seat further, giving you more room to work with.
Your legs clenched tighter with every groan you pulled from him, wiggling your hips in the seat, letting a hand fall back between your own legs. There was an attempt of a moan around his cock when his fingers coiled in your hair. "Such a good slut. Keep fuckin' goin'." He let you continue at your own speed, needing to focus as best he could on the road rather than what you were doing but, damn, you were making that increasingly difficult.
He wasn't stopping you though. He rarely did. You'd sucked him off on countless drives before and only stopped when- "That's it." He lifted you off him by your hair at the same time he pulled off the road. There was a convenient turn-off, hidden by overgrown brush you noticed before he shut off the headlights.
Hanta took you by the chin, smearing drool. "Backseat, pretty girl." He reached into the glove box and pulled out a foil wrapper, "What do you say we test out that legroom?"
He wait to watch your smile grow wide before crawling into the back because he had to be the first to go if this had any chance of working. Once situated, pants under his thighs, he patted his lap for you to climb over.
You slid easily onto his lap, hands traveling up and over his shoulders, kissing hard while you rocked your hips against impossibly hard length.
There was so much comfort in the familiarity of him. It wasn't awkward to fall back into rhythm with Hanta, to remember that he loved the feeling of your nails dragging down his chest. And he was just as eager to get your shirt off, reach your breasts he'd missed so much, and get his tongue on your nipples.
Your head tipped backward, loving the pace he set, hips bouncing creating the perfect tug on your nipples between his teeth.
"Love, if I promise to buy you a new pair, can I rip these damn leggings? They're just so thin and-"
"Please." Your breathy moan had him smirking and with a single grunt the leggings were ruined, cool air from the vents had only a moment to touch your bare ass before Hanta's hands reclaimed it.
There was no way he hadn't felt your arousal before ripping your clothes off, you soaked through your panties and leggings, you knew that, but that didn't stop him from commenting on how soaked you were now on his fingers. "Want me inside you, whore? I think you do."
You nodded with a whimper and he slipped a finger in. "Hants, noo- I- I want your cock, please."
"You're gonna take my fingers like a good little slut first." You clenched at the words falling from his mouth. "So fuckin' tight you can barely take a finger. How'm I supposed to fit in here if you can even take a single finger? Need you to loosen up, alright." He pushed another finger in, scissoring the two inside you.
"This gonna make you cum? You need this bad, don't you? Tell me. Tell me how bad you need to cum."
"I want it. Please, please, I need it. I'm so close," You babbled and ripped the foil open with his teeth, rolling it with one hand on his cock. In an instant, his fingers had been replaced with this dick. Sticky fingers on your ass helping you ease down on him with a hiss.
"Fuck," Hanta let out a throaty chuckle, "You still fuckin' feel the absolute best." He dropped a kiss between your breasts, letting you adjust to his girth. "Perfect. Good girl. Such a fuckin' good little slut."
He wasn't about to last long. Not once you started bouncing up and down on him, your tits right in front of his face.
"Couldn't even wait for me to get you home, had to fucking tease me in the damn car." He held onto the fat of your ass, pulling you along him and slamming you down hard.
"Kinda pathetic how desperate you are. Fuck. Kinda hot too."
When the top of your head bumped the roof of the car, he scooted lower, trying to give you as much room to ride him however you pleased.
"What do you need? You wanna cum, don't you, pretty girl, what do you need?"
"Faster, faster please."
Hanta shifted even lower, making you grab onto the two headrests while he thrust his hips up into you at a rapid speed. His thumb on your clit was the additional stimulation you needed to fall over the edge. Nails clawing at the black leather as he continued to moan below you now chasing his own release.
You stayed poised above him, using every last bit of strength to stay upright until his mouth was rambling and his cock pulsed inside of you. Fingers bruising your skin before holding your pelvis snuggly against his.
He was bent in a way that looked entirely uncomfortable and yet he still smiled so widely. Reaching up to brush hair out of your eyes, "You okay?"
"Perfects, Hants. A little sore but I'm sure you are too." He moved off his lap, letting him slip out of you with a groan, "Is your neck gonna be okay?"
"I'll be fine. Having you back, love, is more than worth a little bit of a neck cramp."
As he tied a knot in the condom, depositing it into a plastic bag he had tucked away under his seat, Hanta raised a brow, "Love, really, are you alright? Please, tell me if I hurt you at all."
"No! I'm good, why?"
"You're sitting silly."
You were sitting a little odd, perched on your knees rather than sitting on your ass because the leather was chilly and you told Hanta as much making him laugh. "Wait, I think I can help." He leaned back to the front of the car, flicking a button making it glow. Once he tucked himself back in his pants he hopped out of the car and you could see him rummaging in his trunk through the rear window.
"I keep forgetting to take this out from our camping trip a couple months ago. Guess it turned out to be a good thing." He laid the blanket down over the passenger's seat, declaring that should help a bit.
You wrapped the now toasty warm blanket around your bottom half while Hanta drove back towards the city, your head on his shoulder, his hand on your thigh.
"So, shopping tomorrow? I believe I owe you a pair of leggings..."
"It's a date."

A/N: Planning to post some finished requests tonight thankfully but I wanted to share something super self indulgent with you guys since I just recently got an Alexa! I'm still kind of in a funk (since classes are STILL not over with) so thank you everyone for your kind words in my inbox q wq For now I only have Riddle and Leona...but if everyone likes it I'll make an effort to finish! I kinda am working on Azul's as we speak >:3 Warnings: Boys missing you terribly, Riddle justifying the breaking of rules and Leona realizing that he is talking to an inanimate object.
The Ramshackle Prefect leaves to go to RSA for a month, following a lead that could get them back home. And while the dorm leaders do miss them terribly, it seems one of them is hiding something.
. .
“AZUL-SHI DO SOMETHING.”
The Octavinelle dorm leader barely listened to his friend's request as he also crowded over Idia’s phone, the other five dorm leaders looking down at the screen as a pair of familiar eyes stared back at them.
“Where is Idia? Can you please hand me back to him?”
Riddle blinked at the sprite on the screen before looking back at Idia with a frown.
“Explain yourself, Shroud.”
Idia whimpered as he hung his head low in shame.
“[Y/N]-san...I mean...the Prefect left to go to RSA for a whole month, right? Crowley said it was to help them find a way back home but apparently there was some trouble there too and...and he brought them to fix it...”
Malleus’s neutral expression changes into something a bit sadder while Kalim lets out what everybody was thinking.
“To take them away so suddenly...I didn’t even get a chance to give them a goodbye party!”
“They’re only away for a month, Kalim.” Vil’s eyes stay on Idia’s phone screen.
“But I’m sure a party would have let them know how much I would miss them!”
Riddle clears his throat, “That still doesn’t explain anything about what I am seeing. Why in the world do you have something that looks like...that looks so much like them on your phone!”
Idia was sure this was hell. Of all the people to catch him using his phone during a dorm leader meeting, why did it have to be Riddle? What was he even supposed to answer to that question! That he missed talking to [Y/N]-san about the new animes that were releasing this week that he had purposefully made an AI from data Ortho had collected on them and their mannerisms?
He would rather die!
“I--I was testing a new AI! Just...for schedules and stuff like that! And I didn’t have anything else to base it on so I just took [Y/N]-san’s information and made a prototype! It’s not just going to go out to the public like that! They can customize it however they like--!”
Azul hums as he taps the screen, the sprite giggling as he touches their cheek before looking up at all of them expectantly.
“...A prototype, huh.” he smiles and leans back while taking his phone out, “Everybody stop crowding around him, we might as well be breaking his arm slowly at this point.”
The rest of the dorm leader's move back with only some protest, Idia’s eyes shining as he looks up at his other friend.
“Azul-shi…”
The dorm leader of Octavinelle grins, “If it’s a prototype then that means it needs users, correct? More people to test it out?”
“Eh?”
Azul puts his phone in front of Idia and smiles at him like he was just about to close a rather important business transaction.
“Well then I want the prototype as well. Download it to my phone, will you?”
“Eh?!”
Idia presses his phone to his chest as if Azul was about to take it, looking around nervously as the other dorm leaders take their phones out and set it in front of him.
“If it’s an application for scheduling then I could use it to keep Heartslabyul’s matters in check. I’ll take one too.”
“Ruggie is gonna be busy during exams...this thing better work as an alarm.”
“Surely this would help me keep track of my schedule for both the Monstro Lounge and school. I’ll take one with a statistics program built in, Idia”
“Oh!! I want mine to be able to sing! And can I also get them in Scarabia’s dorm uniform? I want to see what [Y/N]-san would look like!’
“I’ll take that as well. I also want a photo re-touch feature as well as one hour updates as to what is going on in my Magicam account.”
Each phone was placed in front of him as Idia felt his head start to spin. He just wanted to keep this thing a secret only for himself! He wasn’t even planning to release it, it was all just a lie so they wouldn’t know his greatest shame!
A shadow was casted over him, Idia looking up slowly as Malleus smiled and placed his phone down.
“I am eager to see your finished product, Shroud.”
Tumblr media
The tarts in front of him looked absolutely delicious.
Trey had really outdone himself this time. The strawberries were cut into perfectly neat shapes and the glaze over them made them so mouth wateringly shiny that he could practically taste the sweet treat without even having to taste it!
Which only made his want of one grow even more.
“And here comes the next batch.” Trey smiles as he puts down another plate in front of him, Riddle’s eyes now staring at that plate while his vice dorm leader cleans himself up.
“When did you say the Unbirthday party was going to be today?”
“A-At three o’clock sharp.”
Trey nods as he looks at the clock in the kitchen.
“Perfect. I promised to meet Jade to get some herbs he has been growing as well as letting him teach me how to make this one soup they had in the Monstro Lounge about a week ago.”
He grabs his phone and heads out, leaving Riddle with a quick goodbye and a promise that he would make it back as quick as possible.
Leaving him all alone with two plates filled with his favourite treat.
The dorm leader looks around once...then twice...checking if anybody was coming into the kitchen before going back to stare at the plates.
It wasn’t like he was going to grab one
The Unbirthday party today would be using pastries that Trey had made yesterday. It was the third of the month so the rules required a completely different pastry. The strawberry tarts were most likely for tomorrow.
So Riddle could wait. He was the Heartslabyul dorm leader after all so not only could he wait but he was required to wait! As the dorm leader he was to set an example and he couldn’t let himself be seduced so easily by just two plates of such yummy looking tarts--!
He quickly takes his phone out and looks down at the screen, face flushing as he tries to remember how Idia told him to open up the new app.
“[Y/N]-san…?”
A face peeks out from the corner of his phone, smiling as it recognizes his face and steps out while giving him a polite bow.
“Good morning, Riddle-san! What can I help you with?”
He can’t help a small rush of excitement at seeing the Prefect’s face after not seeing them for two weeks. Riddle would make an effort to stop and talk to them whenever they made their way to Heartslabyul that not seeing them for so long had almost thrown him off his schedule.
And...he missed the conversations he had with them.
As the dorm leader and a student in NRC he didn’t necessarily have time to go to any other events or take part in any of the shenanigans others would get up to, not that he necessarily wanted to, but it was entertaining when the Prefect talked about it with him.
It felt like they were letting him into their world.
So maybe this substitute would suffice...it was a scheduling app after all so it wasn’t like he was using it for pleasure only.
“Would you please repeat rule 56 of the Queen’s handbook?”
The AI clears their throat as a book animation appears before them.
“Rule number 56: On the third of April, black tea should be served along with pineapple tarts. Followed by a game of cards in which the loser must pour the Queen tea for the rest of the Unbirthday party.”
Riddle sighs as he looks back at the plate of tarts.
“...I guess I’ll wait until tomorrow…”
“Wait until what?”
He looks down at the AI, the sprite blinking in confusion as it waits for an answer. Idia had mentioned adding a conversational feature…
“There is no rule about what to eat tomorrow so I decided that we would have strawberry tarts.”
“Are those your favourite?”
Riddle nods and steps out of the kitchen, making his way to his room as he stared back at the open door.
“They are. Ever since I was little. I couldn’t have many because of--”
He decides to not go deep into the subject.
“I’m sure Trey’s pineapple tarts will be excellent. I will just have to wait until tomorrow to enjoy the strawberry ones.”
The AI hums before the book animation pops up again, looking down and flipping a couple of pages before speaking up.
“Riddle-san. While it does say that black tea should be served with pineapple tarts...it does state that it should be done for the Unbirthday party and the Unbirthday party only.”
He frowns, “Your point?”
“I am sure no rule would be broken if only the Queen has a tea party before the Unbirthday party. From what I am seeing here--”
They flip a couple more pages.
“There is no rule about a tea party of one enjoying a strawberry tart.”
Riddle blinks before looking down at his phone, the sprite smiling as they shut the small book and lets it disappear with a ‘poof.’
No rule would be broken...if it was only a tea part of one?
He looks down at the AI when he hears them giggle.
“Riddle-san looks really happy.”
A blush covers his face at being called out on how big his smile probably was.
“Did I help in any way?”
The dorm leader takes a deep breath before smiling as he looks down at the phone and presses his fingertip on top of their head, rubbing it back and forth as if they were petting them. Something he knew he could never really do with them in real life lest he was looking to get odd looks.
“More than enough. Would you like to accompany me during this tea party?”
“Yes please!”
Riddle nods before looking around once more and clearing his throat.
“And...would you refer to me as ‘dorm leader’ from now on?”
The sprite nods as they give him a polite bow.
“Yes, dorm leader!”
He would need to send his report of the app as quickly as possible, Idia had really outdone himself this time...maybe he could ask if he could get them dressed up in the Heartslabyul uniform?
Riddle still wished you would hurry back.
Tumblr media
“Leona-san! Please wake up!”
The blankets on the bed wriggled a bit as the phone was tousled over from one side of the bed to the other, the sprite inside frowning as they tried again.
“Leona-san! Please wake up! Ruggie-san texted you!”
A hand comes out of the blankets before holding the phone up.
“Read the text out loud then.”
Sighing, the AI pulls the text up and reads out loud.
“Please be awake by the time I get there, Leona. I need to make sure I get your signature on these papers for the dorm budget. If you don’t I’ll hold your lunch captive!”
Leona’s face finally pops up from under the blanket, the man sitting up and running a hand through his hair as he speaks up again.
‘Oi. What time is it?”
“It is 3:14 in the afternoon, Leona-san.”
“And when did Ruggie send the text?”
“At 3:00 o'clock.”
He groans and lays back down, the pillows flying about as he holds the phone to his face and smiling when he sees the sprite looking down at him worriedly.
“You really do look like them…” Leona whispers before tapping the screen so that he is poking the sprite’s cheek, “What is that face for?”
“I’m just worried for you, Leona-san. Too much sleep is a symptom of some sicknesses so--”
“Hah? You think I would get sick so easily?” he yawns and stretches, “I’m different from humans. Beastmen need a lot more sleep than regular humans do so...I’m just doing what my body tells me.”
Green eyes watch a notepad appear before the AI as they write down the information, smiling as they close it up and watch it disappear.
“I’ll keep that information in mind so I can serve Leona-san better. Thank you so much.”
Leona blinks at the words before a lazy smile crosses his face.
“Serve me better, huh? Never thought I would hear you say that.”
Usually the herbivore would be frowning and telling him to get up and actually take charge of his dorm and how he didn’t act like any grown up they knew. The sprite, however, tilts their head in confusion before speaking up once again.
“I am yours, after all.”
“Damn right you are.”
He looked at the phone a bit more, the sprite smiling up at him as he poked their cheek or patted their head. A part of him wondered if you would react like that with him as well. You always seemed so annoyed with his antics yet you never failed to come back to talk to him, telling him how he needs to get his act together if he is ever planning to go back to the Afterglow.
Leona would bet money that if he patted your head out of nowhere you would be highly flustered. Getting praise from him was something that didn’t happen often, after all.
“What day is it?”
“The 12th day of April, Leona-san.”
Another two weeks of you being gone. He frowns and closes his eyes as he thinks about you meeting those other students. RSA was just full of idiots...like his brother--
“Dammit.”
He slams the phone down but blinks when he hears a small yelp, turning the phone back around to find the AI looking rather frazzled with their eyes closed and hair all over the place.
“Shit. Are you....okay?”
Great, he was asking an application if it was okay. He could understand why Idia would hide this, right now he felt like he was crazy.
“Y--Yes! It was just unexpected!”
The sprite fixed itself up quickly and smiled back at Leona.
“Are you okay though, Leona-san?”
The dorm leader chuckled and nodded as they set the phone down gently and laid down next to it. At least that part was very much like you, worrying about others before focusing on yourself.
“You’re not going to complain? I almost just threw you.”
Without missing a beat, the AI stands up and looks at him.
“Leona-san is still working hard despite his body telling him to sleep. My program tells me that it would be a natural emotion to feel frustrated if you are not allowed to do something you want. Normal actions of frustration speak of physical manifestations such as kicking, punching or throwing. I was simply calculating it for it to be the latter and for it to happen towards a pillow. I’ll make sure to fix my calculations next time.”
He shakes his head and sets the phone down gently.
“Weird thing. You shouldn’t forgive someone so easily after they wronged you.”
“But you didn’t wrong me, Leona-san. I didn’t feel any pain. I just want to make sure you are feeling your best! You are my number one priority!”
This machine is going to make him go insane, he knows you would never say that but the fact that Idia had gotten your voice down so well that it was almost as if you had just told him he was your number one---
He was already getting a headache.
“Set an alarm for an hour. Ruggie will take around that long anyway.” Leona lays down and wraps the blankets around him.
“Of course. Alarm set for one hour. Would you like to be woken up with a personalized message?”
Leona hummed before grinning.
“Wake me up by calling me ‘King’.”
The sprite fixes its settings before giving a polite bow.
“Yes, my King. Please enjoy your rest.”
After this he would send his report to Shroud and maybe ask for an outfit upgrade. He only needed to show him some Afterglow clothes and the nerd would probably be able to make the AI wear them, right?
Whatever, the moment you came back Leona would make sure that you gave him some headpats for making him wait so long.
